Eggshell‐Based Biochar for Superior Adsorption of Crystal Violet Dye and Fluoride From Wastewater
ABSTRACT Present study investigates the efficiency of eggshell biochar as a low‐cost and ecofriendly adsorbent for the simultaneous removal of fluoride ions and crystal violet (CV) dye from wastewater. The eggshell waste was pyrolyzed to produce biochar, which was thoroughly characterized and subsequently employed for contaminant adsorption.

Bulk photonic metamaterial with hyperbolic dispersion
In this work, we demonstrate a self-standing bulk three-dimensional metamaterial based on the network of silver nanowires in an alumina membrane. This constitutes an anisotropic effective medium with hyperbolic dispersion, which can be used in sub ...

ABSTRACT A specific microporous KOH/activated‐biochar (K/BC) was produced from a blend of date stones (DS) and walnut shells (WS) and used in the adsorptive desulfurization (ADS) of two types of model fuel DBT/n‐hexane (S‐hex), DBT/cyclohexane (S‐cyclohex).

El intervalo QT es un marcador del estado de la repolarización ventricular. El aumento de la heterogeneidad en la repolarización de los ventrículos, se asocia a un mayor riesgo para la aparición de arritmias ventriculares malignas y puede ser expresado a

Iron Deposition following Chronic Myocardial Infarction as a Substrate for Cardiac Electrical Anomalies: Initial Findings in a Canine Model [PDF]
Purpose: Iron deposition has been shown to occur following myocardial infarction (MI). We investigated whether such focal iron deposition within chronic MI lead to electrical anomalies. Methods: Two groups of dogs (ex-vivo (n = 12) and in-vivo (n = 10))

Adsorption Characteristics and Mechanisms of Dibutyl Phthalate on Nanomaterials
ABSTRACT Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is a widely used plasticizer whose environmental release poses significant risks to ecosystems and human health. This study systematically investigated DBP adsorption on three common nanomaterials—titanium dioxide nanoparticles (n‐TiO2), multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), and carboxylated MWCNTs (MWCNTs‐COOH)—using ...

QT Dispersion: Does It Change after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention? [PDF]
Background: Myocardial ischemia is one of several causes of prolonged QT dispersion. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect that percutaneous coronary intervention has on the depolarization and repolarization parameters of surface ...

Electron-acoustic-phonon interaction in core/shell Ge/Si and Si/Ge nanowires
General expressions for the electron- and hole-acoustical-phonon deformation potential Hamiltonian (H_{E-DP}) are derived for the case of Ge/Si and Si/Ge core/shell nanowire structures (NWs) with circular cross section.
