Dinuclear Rhodium(I)–N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Complexes as Alkyne Hydropyridonation Catalysts

Catalyst Improvement by NHC tuning: A series of new RhI–NHC dinuclear complexes has been revealed as efficient alkyne hydropyridonation catalysts. 333053IMes complex displays the highest reactivity of the series, suggesting that a moderate steric demand combined with balanced σ‐donation facilitates precatalyst activation and substrate exchange.

From Light‐Driven to Dark Synthesis: Streamlining Perfluoroalkyl Selenide Ether Formation

Two orthogonal and user‐friendly protocols enable the efficient construction of (Se/S)RF bonds from simple dichalcogenides and perfluoroalkyl iodides. A Photoredox Radical‐Polar Crossover Reaction for the Preparation of Monoprotected Dicarbonyl Compounds

An ATRA‐based, Ru‐photocatalyzed radical‐polar crossover reaction for the preparation of monoprotected dicarbonyl compounds is reported. This procedure is based on the capture of a cationic intermediate, arising from the radical step, with diverse nucleophiles.
