A Cu‐Based Near‐IR Active MOF with an Ion‐Pair Guest Exhibiting Versatile and Selective Gas‐Solid Reactivity

The new Cu‐containing MOF (Me2NH2)(CuICl2)@[Cu4(INA)4Cl2O]·1.5dmf (3) contains a cation and an anion as guests and shows UV‐near‐mid‐IR absorption and near‐IR emission. MOF 3 shows gas‐solid reactivity in the presence of NH3 and HCOOH to yield two new 3D MOF.

A Renal Clearable Probe for In Vivo Monoamine Oxidase (MAO) Detection

A renal‐clearable Cy7‐based fluorogenic probe enables rapid and non‐invasive detection of monoamine oxidase (MAO) activity in vivo. Upon MAO‐mediated activation, the fluorescent product is efficiently excreted in urine, allowing direct quantification of enzyme overexpression.

Copper binding triggers structural changes that expose a reactive disulphide bridge, enabling intrinsic Cu(II) reduction in folded proteins. SAXS, XAS, and QM/MM simulations reveal how globular proteins such as HSA and SOD1 employ disulphide‐mediated dynamics to modulate site accessibility and control copper redox chemistry.
