Determining the Weak Phase $\gamma$ From Charged $B$ Decays

open access: yes, 1995
A quadrangle relation is shown to be satisfied by the amplitudes for $B^+ \to \pi^0 K^+,~\pi^+ K^0,~\eta K^+$, and $\eta' K^+$. By comparison with the corresponding relation satisfied by $B^-$ decay amplitudes, it is shown that the relative phases of all

Photoconductivity‐Driven Quantum Efficiency Gain in Inorganic Ruddlesden‐Popper Layered Cs2PbBr2I2 Perovskite Photodetector for Visible Light Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rational halogen mixing strategy was employed to shift the bandgap of Cs2PbBr2I2 from ultraviolet to visible region, enabling first realization of a visible‐light photodetector with this 2D layered Ruddlesden‐Popper perovskite material. Under illumination, light‐induced internal field forms and drives trap‐mediated persistent photoconductivity ...

Dataset on interactions of membrane active agents with lipid bilayers

open access: yesData in Brief, 2020
We address drug interactions with lipids using in silico simulations and in vitro experiments. The data article provides extended explanations on molecular mechanisms behind membrane action of membrane-active agents (MAAs): antimicrobial peptides and ...

Slanted symplectic quadrangles [PDF]

open access: yesGeometriae Dedicata, 1994
By "slanting" symplectic quadrangles W(F) over fields F, we obtain very simple examples of non-classical generalized quadrangles. We determine the collineation groups of these slanted quadrangles and their groups of projectivities. No slanted quadrangle is a topological quadrangle.

Chiral SURMOFs for Vibrational Circular Dichroism: Multiscale Modeling and Experimental Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The use of solid‐state vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) for MOFs is still somewhat unexplored, and in this work, it is shown that chiral surface‐anchored MOFs (SURMOFs) grown on CaF2 provide an excellent platform for VCD. Experimental results are validated through multiscale modeling, showing strong agreement across multiple spectroscopic ...

Popular Sovereignty, Shays’s Rebellion, and Populism in Early New England

open access: yesHistories
Massachusetts in the 1780s was deeply polarized. In the preparty era, the most developed communities were able to monopolize the levers of policymaking and governance in order to secure their interests.

Quadrangle groups inclusions [PDF]

open access: yesBeiträge zur Algebra und Geometrie / Contributions to Algebra and Geometry, 2016
Fuchsian groups play an important rôle in the study of Riemann surfaces and of their automorphism groups. In order to determine when an automorphism group of a Riemann surface is in fact its full automorphism group, it is crucial to know the inclusions of Fuchsian groups.

Measuring the Fourth Generation b --> s Quadrangle at the LHC

open access: yes, 2011
We show that simultaneous precision measurement of the CP-violating phase in time-dependent Bs --> J/psi phi study and the Bs --> mu+ mu- rate, together with measuring m_t' by direct search at the LHC, would determine V_{t's}^*V_{t'b} and therefore the b
