Sharp commutator estimates of all order for Coulomb and Riesz modulated energies

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 2, Page 207-292, February 2026.
Abstract We prove functional inequalities in any dimension controlling the iterated derivatives along a transport of the Coulomb or super‐Coulomb Riesz modulated energy in terms of the modulated energy itself. This modulated energy was introduced by the second author and collaborators in the study of mean‐field limits and statistical mechanics of ...

A Hybrid SwinTConvNeXt With Learnable Dynamic Gating Fusion for Breast Cancer Histopathology Image Classification

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2026.
Our hybrid SwinTConvNeXt‐LDGF model shows great potential to support pathologists in the real‐world classification of breast cancer subtypes. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of combining the Swin Transformer and ConvNeXt backbones within a unified, learnable dynamic training framework.

Natural preconditioners for saddle point systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The solution of quadratic or locally quadratic extremum problems subject to linear(ized) constraints gives rise to linear systems in saddle point form.

A Comparative Study of MINLP and MPVC Formulations for Solving Complex Nonlinear Decision‐Making Problems in Aerospace Applications

open access: yesOptimal Control Applications and Methods, Volume 47, Issue 1, Page 4-23, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT High‐level decision‐making for dynamical systems often involves performance and safety specifications that are activated or deactivated depending on conditions related to the system state and commands. Such decision‐making problems can be naturally formulated as optimization problems where these conditional activations are regulated by ...

The benefits and challenges of using dense Mode‐S aircraft winds at ECMWF

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, Volume 152, Issue 774, January 2026 Part A.
In November 2022 ECMWF stopped using Mode‐S winds because their very high density in central Europe caused problems for the assimilation system. The data were reintroduced operationally in November 2023 combined with an improved aircraft thinning algorithm.

Homotopes of Symmetric Spaces II. Structure Variety and Classification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We classify homotopes of classical symmetric spaces (studied in Part I of this work). Our classification uses the fibered structure of homotopes: they are fibered as symmetric spaces, with flat fibers, over a non-degenerate base; the base spaces ...

Two‐Stage Robust Security‐Constrained Unit Commitment for Wind Power Reserve Provision Optimisation Under Decision‐Dependent Uncertainty

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
1. A novel two‐stage robust security‐constrained unit commitment model, which incorporates wind power probabilistic reserves and decision‐dependent uncertainty (DDU), is proposed. 2. The proposed DDU model is transformed into an equivalent but more tractable decision‐independent uncertainty formulation.

Octavic theta series [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Let L be the even unimodular lattice of signature (2,10), In the paper [FS] we considered the subgroup O(L)^+ of index two in the orthogonal group. It acts biholomorphically on a ten dimensional tube domain H_{10}.
