Quadratic boost A-source impedance network

open access: yes2016 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2016
A novel quadratic boost A-source impedance network is proposed to realize converters that demand very high voltage gain. To satisfy the requirement, the network uses an autotransformer where the obtained gain is quadratically dependent on the duty ratio and is unmatched by any existing impedance source networks and normal dc-dc converters with coupled ...

Ltspice Analysis of Double- Inductor Quadratic Boost Converter in Comparison with Quadratic Boost and Double Cascaded Boost Converter

2021 12th International Conference on Computing Communication and Networking Technologies (ICCCNT), 2021
A step up converter is a main component of a micro-grid system, is used to increase the system's voltage. The use of a standard boost converter in high gain applications is not a practical technique upper range of voltage cannot be created and the duty ratio of the switch has to be higher, resulting in significant losses as well as poor efficiency. Quadratic Boost Converter with CLD Cell

International Journal Of Recent Trends In Multidisciplinary Research, 2023
A dc-dc converter is essential for Solar PV system to step up the low voltage from Solar panel/array to required voltage. In Solar PV system, the dc-dc converter will be buck-boost or boost converter. Many new boost converters are derived nowadays. In these, one of the modern converters is quadratic boost converter.

Mathematical modeling of a quadratic boost converter

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2023
DC-DC converters are nonlinear Time Variant (TV) systems. This paper uses the State Space Averaging (SSA) to extract a Linear Time Invariant (LTI) model for a Quadratic Boost Converter (QBC). MATLAB is used to do the SSA mathematical machinery. Obtained dynamic model is compared with the one generated by a commercial software.

Design and comparison of quadratic boost and double cascade boost converters with boost converter

2017 14th International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals & Devices (SSD), 2017
Basically, the output voltage in renewable energy sources is improved using the boost converter, which is the key part in a photovoltaic chain. In this converter, the switching frequency is limited; hence the output voltage is reduced. To overcome this problem, two topologies are proposed; the quadratic boost converter results by combining the ...

High efficiency quadratic boost converter

2012 Twenty-Seventh Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2012
This paper presents a new soft-switched pulse-width modulated (PWM) quadratic boost converter which is suitable for applications with a wide fluctuating DC input voltage range, e.g. photovoltaic and fuel cells systems. The active switches are turned-on under zero-current and zero-voltage switching (ZC-ZVS) and turned-off with zero-voltage switching ...
