Analysis of a Quadratic Boost Converter using Sliding Mode Controller

2020 17th International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals & Devices (SSD), 2020
Static converters are the most important part in a photovoltaic chain. These converters assure the adaptation between the photovoltaic panel and the receiver. Generally, DC-DC converters are used to boost up a low level of DC voltage to a higher DC voltage level.

Modeling of a three-level quadratic boost converter

2019 IEEE 15th Brazilian Power Electronics Conference and 5th IEEE Southern Power Electronics Conference (COBEP/SPEC), 2019
This work presents the modelling of a three-level quadratic boost converter. The dynamical model obtained for the converter turns out to be of non-minimal phase, which limits to a slow transient response, requiring the application of a cascade control.

Comparison and analysis of cascaded and Quadratic Boost Converter

2015 IEEE Power, Communication and Information Technology Conference (PCITC), 2015
In this paper, an overall comparison between the Quadratic Boost Converter (QBC) & Cascaded Converter or Cascaded Boost Converter (CBC) is given in terms of ideal condition, as well as with the consideration of Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) of inductor-capacitor.

Analysis and Design of Quadratic Following Boost Converter

2018 IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES), 2018
A boost converter which closely follows the quadratic converter voltage gain is proposed in this article. At tradeoff duty ratios, this converter is able to boost a lower input dc voltage to higher values at load side, higher than the traditional boost converter.

Variable Duty Cycle Control for Quadratic Boost PFC Converter

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2016
Compared with constant duty cycle-controlled discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) boost power factor (PF) correction (PFC) converter, constant duty cycle-controlled quadratic DCM–DCM boost PFC converter features with much lower second-order line frequency output voltage ripple, and however, it suffers from low PF.

Design and analysis of a new quadratic boost converter

2017 National Power Electronics Conference (NPEC), 2017
In this paper a new quadratic boost, fifth-order, point of load boost dc-dc converter is proposed. To examine the proposed converter performance, a detailed time-domain and steady-state analysis is presented. Voltage boosting features are established and then the L, C components defining equations are formulated in terms of ripple quantities. The state-

Novel High-Gain Quadratic Buck-Boost Converter

Journal of Nanoelectronics and Optoelectronics, 2023
Based on voltage boosting technology, a simple new quadratic buck-boost topology is proposed. The proposed converter has higher voltage gain and uninterrupted input current, reducing the filtering requirements of the input port. The performance of the converter in uninterrupted conduction mode are introduced in detail, and the new quadratic buck-boost
