Efficient and Robust Standing Postures of Quadruped Robots
A calibrated static framework estimates load, optimizes torques, and adapts posture so quadruped robots stand efficiently and robustly under external payloads, achieving up to 50% lower torque demand. Inspired by the natural posture adjustments of animals under external loading, this article presents an optimization‐based framework for minimizing joint

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Robust Controller for a Quadratic Boost Converter
Abstract Quadratic boost converters are highly nonlinear, high-order and nonminimum phase systems that present challenges to the regulation of their output voltages. In this paper, a robust nonlinear controller based on the uncertainty and disturbance estimator (UDE) scheme is successfully developed and implemented to tightly regulate the ...

A copper‐iron charge transfer instability drives concomitant electronic, magnetic, and isostructural phase transitions in ACu3Fe4O12${\rm ACu}_3{\rm Fe}_4{\rm O}_{12}$, with an inverse barocaloric effect. A minimal Landau theory ties these thermodynamic signatures together, revealing a pressure‐independent transition entropy with comparable charge and ...

Analysis Of A Soft-single-switched Quadratic Boost Converter
In recent years, the development of new technologies is requiring power supplies with wide dc conversion range. In this paper an alternative solution is presented, the properties of the new soft- single-switched (SSS) Boost converter with voltage ...

Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum for Image Analysis
The Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum (SHWB), a rotation‐ and translation‐invariant descriptor that captures higher‐order (phase) correlations in signals, is introduced. Combining wavelet scattering, bispectral analysis, and group theory, SHWB achieves interpretable, data‐efficient representations and demonstrates competitive performance across texture,

Single‐cell longitudinal profiling reveals that androgen‐deprivation therapy induces a DPT+ fibroblast‐complement axis that suppresses macrophage inflammation and drives CD8+ T cell exhaustion in prostate cancer. Concurrently, resistant epithelial subpopulations persist and engage TSPAN1‐ and NRXN1‐mediated programs promoting CRPC and neuroendocrine ...

Deep‐learning‐based signal enhancement is an effective way to recover high‐resolution details from a low‐resolution chromatin contact map. However, due to computational challenges, existing methods commonly divide up the contact map into small patches and create artificial discontinuities at patch boundaries.

Non-isolated DC-DC converters are better than isolated converters from aspects such as their lower mass, volume, and cost and higher efficiency and power density. This study proposes a non-isolated high-step-up DC-DC converter.
