Characterizations of Bounded Ricci Curvature on Smooth and NonSmooth Spaces [PDF]
There are two primary goals to this paper. In the first part of the paper we study smooth metric measure spaces (M^n,g,e^{-f}dv_g) and give several ways of characterizing bounds -Kg\leq \Ric+\nabla^2f\leq Kg on the Ricci curvature of the manifold.

Two pyridinium‐based ionic liquid templated hybrid manganese halides, (C4Py)2[MnCl4] and (C4Py)2[MnBr4], display similar bulk structures but show significantly different photoluminescence behaviors due to the bromine heavy‐atom effect. Their stable local Mn environments remain intact even in the molten state, allowing applications such as luminescence ...

Convective regularization for optical flow
We argue that the time derivative in a fixed coordinate frame may not be the most appropriate measure of time regularity of an optical flow field. Instead, for a given velocity field $v$ we consider the convective acceleration $v_t + \nabla v v$ which ...

Inducing Ferromagnetism by Structural Engineering in a Strongly Spin‐Orbit Coupled Oxide
ABSTRACT Magnetic materials with strong spin‐orbit coupling (SOC) are essential for the advancement of spin‐orbitronic devices, as they enable efficient spin‐charge conversion, complex magnetic structures, spin‐valley physics, topological phases and other exotic phenomena.

A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

Inclusions induced phase separation in mixed lipid film
The effect of rigid inclusions on the phase behavior of a film containing a mixture of lipid molecules is investigated. In the proposed model, the inclusion-induced deformation of the film, and the resulting energy cost are strongly dependent upon the ...

Adaptive Twisting Metamaterials
This work introduces torque‐controlled twisting metamaterials as a transformative platform for adaptive crashworthiness. By combining multiscale predictive modeling with experimental validation on additively manufactured gyroids, it demonstrates tunable stiffness, collapse stress, and energy absorption.

Damping of zero sound in Luttinger liquids
We calculate the damping gamma_q of collective density oscillations (zero sound) in a one-dimensional Fermi gas with dimensionless forward scattering interaction F and quadratic energy dispersion k^2 / 2 m at zero temperature.

Triggered Ferroelectricity in HfO2 From Hybrid Phonons and Higher‐Order Dynamical Charges
We combine first‐principles calculations, LGD theory and group theory to demonstrate the mechanism of hybrid‐triggered ferroelectricity in HfO2${\rm HfO}_2$, enabled by trilinear and quadlinear couplings between stable polar and nonpolar modes. HfO2${\rm HfO}_2$ hosts unconventional interplay between structure modes where substantial contribution to ...

IMPOSING CURVATURE RESTRICTIONS ON A TRANSLOG COST FUNCTION USING A MARKOV CHAIN MONTE CARLO SIMULATION APPROACH [PDF]
Using Kansas Farm data from 1973 to 1998, curvature restrictions are imposed on a translog cost function. Using uninformative priors with indicator functions representing distribution and inequality constraints, a Markov Chain Monte Carlo Simulation ...
