Functional surfaces are investigated as a foundation for reconfigurable microscale systems with sensing and actuation capabilities. Advances in additive manufacturing enable our development of planar arrays of hybrid‐material, compliant microdevices that convert environmental stimuli into programmed motion and visual responses.

Tractable convex relaxations of nonconvex quadratic optimization problems [PDF]
A quadratically constrained quadratic program (QCQP) is an optimization problem in which a (possibly nonconvex) quadratic function is minimized subject to a combination of linear and quadratic constraints.

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Solutions of several general quadratic partial differential-difference equations in ℂ2
In this article, we have introduced general transformation to solving the general quadratic equations. It is of interest to know about the existence and form of the solutions of general quadratic functional equations.

The Generalized Quadratic Expenditure System [PDF]
This chapter presents the indirect preferences for all full rank Gorman and Lewbel demand systems. Each member in this class of demand models is a Generalized Quadratic Expenditure System (GQES). This representation allows applied researchers to choose a

Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum for Image Analysis
The Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum (SHWB), a rotation‐ and translation‐invariant descriptor that captures higher‐order (phase) correlations in signals, is introduced. Combining wavelet scattering, bispectral analysis, and group theory, SHWB achieves interpretable, data‐efficient representations and demonstrates competitive performance across texture,

Canonical form of the quadratic form of quadric surfaces
Reduction of the quadratic form in the three variables x, y, and z to its canonical form was done by choosing a rectangular coordinate transformation.

Hermitian Forms and Systems of Quadratic Forms
We associate to every symmetric (antisymmetric) Hermitian form a system of quadratic forms over the base field which determines its isotropy and metabolicity behaviour. It is shown that two even Hermitian forms are isometric if and only if their associated systems are equivalent.

Pharmaceutical diversity acts as an independent driver of antibiotic resistance in soil invertebrates. While bulk soil remains unaffected, the collembolan gut microbiome exhibits significant resistance gene enrichment under complex chemical exposure and diurnal warming.

Spectral form factor of quadratic R-para-particle SYK model with random matrix coupling
This paper investigates the spectral form factor (SFF) of the quadratic R-para-particle Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (R-PSYK2) model with various random matrix ensemble couplings. We generalize previous work on Gaussian Unitary Ensemble (GUE) couplings to all three
