Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

The author has been motivated by the wish to formulate the results of \textit{B. Alpers} [J. Algebra 137, 44-55 (1991; Zbl 0727.11017)]\ on round quadratic forms for quadratic forms instead of for elements of the Witt ring. The goal of this paper is finding a classification of round quadratic forms.

A numerical model resulting from irreversible thermodynamics for describing transport processes is introduced, focusing on thermodynamic activity gradients as the actual driving force for diffusion. Implemented in CUDA C++ and using CalPhaD methods for determining the necessary activity data, the model accurately simulates interdiffusion in aluminum ...

A Multidimensional Functional Equation Having Quadratic Forms as Solutions
We obtain the general solution and the stability of the m-variable quadratic functional equation f(x1+y1,…,xm+ym)+f(x1−y1,…,xm−ym)=2f(x1,…,xm)+2f(y1,…,ym).

Quadratic forms in $I^n$ of dimension $2^n+2^{n-1}$
For $n\ge 3$, confirming a weak version of a conjecture of Hoffmann, we show that every anisotropic quadratic form in $I^n$ of dimension $2^n+2^{n-1}$ splits over a finite extension of the base field of degree not divisible by $4$. The first new case is $

Classifying Quadratic Forms Over Z2 in Three Variables
The quadratic forms in three variables over the field Z2 are classified. Some remarks are made about the group of equivalences GL(3,Z2) of the quadratic forms.

Toeplitz versus Hankel: semibounded operators [PDF]
Our goal is to compare various results for Toeplitz \(T\) and Hankel \(H\) operators. We consider semibounded operators and find necessary and sufficient conditions for their quadratic forms to be closable. This property allows one to define \(T\) and \(

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

On Approximating the Distribution of Quadratic Forms in Gamma Random Variables and Exponential Order Statistics [PDF]
This paper proposes a moment-based approximation to the distribution of quadratic forms in gamma random variables. Quadratic forms in order statistics from an exponential population are considered as well.

Quiescent Optical Solitons with Quadratic-Cubic and Generalized Quadratic-Cubic Nonlinearities
This paper studies the formulation of dark and singular stationary optical solitons that stem from quadratic-cubic and generalized quadratic-cubic forms of nonlinear refractive index coupled with nonlinear chromatic dispersion.
