Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

Random Stability of an Additive-Quadratic-Quartic Functional Equation

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2010
Using the fixed point method, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of the following additive-quadratic-quartic functional equation f(x+2y)+f(x−2y)=2f(x+y)+2f(−x−y)+2f(x−y)+2f(y−x)−4f(−x)−2f(

Some generalization of the quadratic and Wilson’s functional equation [PDF]

open access: yesAequationes mathematicae, 2013
We find the solutions $${f,g,h \colon G \to X,\,\varphi \colon G \to \mathbb{K}}$$ of each of the functional equation $$\sum\limits_{\lambda \in K} f(x + \lambda y) = |K| \varphi (y) g(x) +

On the Ulam stability of an n-dimensional quadratic functional equation

open access: yes, 2016
In the present paper, we construct a new n-dimensional quadratic functional equation with constant coefficients n ∑ i,j=1 f(xi + xj) = 2 n ∑ 1 ...

A Simulative Evaluation of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Structures in the Context of Elastocaloric Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A simulative evaluation of triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) structures for an elastocaloric application under compressive load is performed. For the evaluation of the structure's performance, surface/volume ratio, generated heat and invested mechanical work are taken into account and are compared to a tube as a reference specimen.

Hyers-Ulam stability of an additive-quadratic functional equation

open access: yesCubo, 2020
In this paper, we introduce the following $(a,b,c)$-mixed type functional equation of the form \\$g(ax_1+bx_2+cx_3 )-g(-ax_1+bx_2+cx_3 )+g(ax_1-bx_2+cx_3 )-g(ax_1+bx_2-cx_3 ) +2a^2 [g(x_1 )+g(-x_1)]+2b^2 [g(x_2 )+g(-x_2)]+2c^2 [g(x_3 )+g(-x_3)]+a[g(x_1 )-

Functional RG flow of the effective Hamiltonian action

open access: yes, 2012
After a brief review of the definition and properties of the quantum effective Hamiltonian action we describe its renormalization flow by a functional RG equation.

On a functional equation that has the quadratic-multiplicative property

open access: yes, 2020
In this article, we obtain the general solution and prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the following quadratic-multiplicative functional equation: ϕ ( s t − u v ) + ϕ ( s v + t u ) = [ ϕ ( s ) + ϕ ( u ) ] [ ϕ ( t ) + ϕ ( v ) ] \phi (st-uv)+\phi (sv+tu)={[}

Removing Homocoupling Defects in Alkoxy/Alkyl‐PBTTT Enhances Polymer:Fullerene Co‐Crystal Formation and Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...

Evidence of Long‐Range Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya Interaction at Ferrimagnetic Insulator/Nonmagnetic Metal Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that in sputter‐deposited Tb3Fe5O12 (TbIG)/nonmagnetic metal (NM) heterostructures, the interfacial Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya Interaction (DMI) originates at the TbIG/NM interface. Furthermore, measurements suggest a significant interfacial DMI arising from a second non‐local interface, created by inserting a Cu spacer layer between
