Invertible Quadratic Non-Linear Layers for MPC-/FHE-/ZK-Friendly Schemes over Fnp Application to Poseidon

open access: yesIACR Transactions on Symmetric Cryptology, 2022
Motivated by new applications such as secure Multi-Party Computation (MPC), Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), and Zero-Knowledge proofs (ZK), many MPC-, FHE- and ZK-friendly symmetric-key primitives that minimize the number of multiplications over Fp ...

Thurston equivalence for rational maps with clusters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We investigate rational maps with period-one and period-two cluster cycles. Given the definition of a cluster, we show that, in the case where the degree is d and the cluster is fixed, the Thurston class of a rational map is fixed by the combinatorial ...

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

A Class of Quadratic Polynomial Chaotic Maps and its Application in Cryptography

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
At present, the probability density of most chaotic systems is unknown, and the statistical characteristics of chaotic sequences cannot be described by the probability density of chaotic maps. This paper constructs a class of quadratic polynomial chaotic

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Geometrical foundations of the sampling design with fixed sample size

open access: yesRatio Mathematica, 2020
We study the sampling design with fixed sample size from a geometric point of view. The first-order and second-order inclusion probabilities are chosen by the statistician. They are subjective probabilities.

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

General Construction Method and Proof for a Class of Quadratic Chaotic Mappings

open access: yesMathematics
The importance of chaotic systems as the main pseudo-random cryptographic generator of encryption algorithms in the field of communication secrecy cannot be overstated, but in practical applications, researchers often choose to build upon traditional ...

Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

On surjective quadratic mappings

open access: yesMathematical Notes, 2016
The authors define a quadratic mapping \(Q:\mathbb{R}^n\to \mathbb{R}^k\) to be stably surjective if there is an \(\varepsilon>0\) such that every quadratic mapping \(\widetilde Q: \mathbb{R}^n\to\mathbb{R}^k\) for which \(\rho(Q,\widetilde Q)
