Search for homogeneous polynomial invariants and a cubic-homogeneous mapping without quadratic invariants

open access: yes, 2008
The class of the cubic-homogenous mappings with nonzero constant Jacobian determinant is interesting because if it were proved that all mappings in this class are invertible, then the general Jacobian Conjecture would follow.

Modular, Textile‐Based Soft Robotic Grippers for Agricultural Produce Handling

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article introduces textile‐based pneumatic grippers that transform simple textiles into robust bending actuators. Detailed experiments uncover how cut geometry and fabric selection shape performance. Successful handling of fragile agricultural items showcases the potential of textile robotics for safe, scalable automation in food processing and ...

Multiphoton‐Printed Microrobotic Arrays Powered by Discrete, Monolithically Integrated Hydrogel Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Functional surfaces are investigated as a foundation for reconfigurable microscale systems with sensing and actuation capabilities. Advances in additive manufacturing enable our development of planar arrays of hybrid‐material, compliant microdevices that convert environmental stimuli into programmed motion and visual responses.

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum for Image Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum (SHWB), a rotation‐ and translation‐invariant descriptor that captures higher‐order (phase) correlations in signals, is introduced. Combining wavelet scattering, bispectral analysis, and group theory, SHWB achieves interpretable, data‐efficient representations and demonstrates competitive performance across texture,

Robust and Sparse Kernel-Free Quadratic Surface LSR via L2,p-Norm With Feature Selection for Multi-Class Image Classification

open access: yesIEEE Access
Least Squares Regression (LSR) is a powerful machine learning method for image classification and feature selection. In this study, a framework approach is introduced for the multi-classification problem based on the $L_{2,p}$ -norm, utilizing more ...

Quadratic derivations on non-Archimedean Banach algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Let A be an algebra and X be an A-module. A quadratic mapping D : A X is called a quadratic derivation if D(ab) = D(a)b(2) + a(2) D(b) for all a(1), a(2) is an element of A.

Diversity of Pharmaceuticals Enhances Antibiotic Resistance in the Invertebrate Gut via Biofilm‐Mediated Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pharmaceutical diversity acts as an independent driver of antibiotic resistance in soil invertebrates. While bulk soil remains unaffected, the collembolan gut microbiome exhibits significant resistance gene enrichment under complex chemical exposure and diurnal warming.
