Quadratic vector fields with a weak focus of third order [PDF]

open access: yesPublicacions Matemàtiques, 1997
We study phase portraits of quadratic vector fields with a weak focus of third order at the origin. We show numerically the existence of at least 20 different global phase portraits for such vector fields coming from exactly 16 different local phase portraits available for these vector fields. Among these 20 phase portraits, 17 have no limit cycles and

Interaction‐Driven Assembly Pathways in Heterogeneous Active Microrobotic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Peanut‐ and cube‐shaped light‐powered microrobots exhibit distinct magnetic and photocatalytic responses that determine their heterogeneous self‐assembly. In the dark, magnetic dipole interactions drive colloidal copolymerization with cubes acting as nucleation centers, whereas under light irradiation, phoretic interactions compete with magnetic ...

Resonant Domain Wall Dynamics in a Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Nano Double Helix

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
3D magnetic nanostructures promise exciting possibilities for magnetization dynamics. However, experimental realizations remain scarce. In nanoprinted cobalt double helices, time‐resolved X‐ray microscopy reveals harmonic domain wall dynamics. Simulations identify the mode and additional higher‐frequency resonances, revealing a rich dynamic landscape ...

Bianchi type-V spinning particle on S $$ \mathcal{S} $$ 2

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
Integrable spinning extension of a free particle on S $$ \mathcal{S} $$ 2 is constructed in which spin degrees of freedom are represented by a 3-vector obeying the Bianchi type-V algebra.

About a conjecture on quadratic vector fields

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 2001
Let \(U\) be a partial differential field of characteristic 0 with differentiations \(\delta_{1},\dots ,\delta_{m}\) and \(R\) be a factorial differential subring of \(U\) with a field of quotients \(F\). Denote by \(C\) a field of constants of \(F\).

Large‐Scale Determination of Frontier Orbital Energies of Disordered Small‐Molecule Organic Semiconductors Using Exciplex Emission Spectra

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accurately knowing the frontier orbital energies of the structurally disordered small‐molecule organic semiconductors that are used in optoelectronic devices such as organic light‐emitting diodes is required to rationally improve their performance. Here, we show that these energies can be deduced with a large accuracy from the peak energies of

Multidirectional Motion Strategy of Miniature Water Surface Robot Actuated by Single Exciter

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A novel multidirectional motion strategy on the water surface based on a single exciter is proposed, and a single‐exciter single‐plate module is developed for actuation. The driving forces generation mechanism of the module is revealed from the perspective of the asymmetric surface wave field.

Gravitational waves effects in a Lorentz–violating scenario

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
This paper focuses on how the production and polarization of gravitational waves are affected by spontaneous Lorentz symmetry breaking, which is driven by a self–interacting vector field.

Polynomial first integrals of quadratic vector fields

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2006
The goal of this paper is to characterize those quadratic differential equations in the plane having a polynomial first integral, and to provide an explicit expression of these systems as well as of their polynomial first integrals. It is well known that if the system writes as \[ \dot x=P(x,y), \quad \dot y=Q(x,y) \] it is not restrictive to assume ...

Gait Analysis of Pak Biawak: A Necrobot Lizard Built using the Skeleton of an Asian Water Monitor (Varanus Salvator)

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Pak Biawak, a necrobot, embodies an unusual fusion of biology and robotics. Designed to repurpose natural structures after death, it challenges conventional boundaries between nature and engineering. Its movements are precise yet unsettling, raising questions about sustainability, ethics, and the untapped potential of biointegrated machines.
