A Noise-Shifting Differential Colpitts VCO [PDF]
A novel noise-shifting differential Colpitts VCO is presented. It uses current switching to lower phase noise by cyclostationary noise alignment and improve the start-up condition.

Pulse Generation by On‐Chip Dispersion Compensation at 8 µm Wavelength
This work demonstrates on‐chip pulse generation at 8 μm$\mathrm{\mu}\mathrm{m}$ using chirped Bragg gratings in SiGe graded‐index photonic circuits to compensate the quadratic phase of quantum cascade laser frequency combs. With this approach pulses as short as 1.39 ps were produced, close to the transform limit, representing a key step toward compact,

Dynamical two-mode squeezing of thermal fluctuations in a cavity opto-mechanical system
We report the experimental observation of two-mode squeezing in the oscillation quadratures of a thermal micro-oscillator. This effect is obtained by parametric modulation of the optical spring in a cavity opto-mechanical system.

ABSTRACT The Duffing oscillator is often considered as “the” prototype of a nonlinear oscillator as it exhibits many characteristic phenomena of nonlinear dynamics. One of these phenomena is the occurrence of multiple periodic solutions as considered here for the case of the harmonically excited slightly damped Duffing oscillator.

Mutual first order coherence of phase-locked lasers
We argue that (first-order) coherence is a relative, and not an absolute, property. It is shown how feedforward or feedback can be employed to make two (or more) lasers relatively coherent.

Interaction of a two-level atom with squeezed light [PDF]
We consider a degenerate parametric oscillator whose cavity contains a two-level atom. Applying the Heisenberg and quantum Langevin equations, we calculate in the bad-cavity limit the mean photon number, the quadrature variance, and the power spectrum ...

Approach for third order quadrature oscillator realisation
This paper presents a new approach for third order quadrature oscillator (QO) realisation. It uses a high pass filter and differentiator connected in a feedback loop. A differential voltage current conveyor transconductance amplifier (DVCCTA) is employed to verify the proposed approach. Two circuit topologies of QO have been proposed.

A Southern Ocean Multidecadal Oscillator Forced by Deep Convection
Abstract Some climate models exhibit multidecadal‐to‐centennial variability of the Southern Ocean (SO) associated with open‐ocean polynyas and deep convection. We characterize the SO variability of the Community Earth System Model (version 1) under preindustrial conditions run with two different ocean resolutions, low‐resolution (∼1°) and high ...
