Self‐Similar Blowup for the Cubic Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 8, Page 1831-1918, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We give a rigorous proof for the existence of a finite‐energy, self‐similar solution to the focusing cubic Schrödinger equation in three spatial dimensions. The proof is computer‐assisted and relies on a fixed point argument that shows the existence of a solution in the vicinity of a numerically constructed approximation.

Fast Calculation for the Flow and Heat Transfer of Tempered Fractional Maxwell Viscoelastic Fluid

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, Volume 98, Issue 8, Page 969-979, August 2026.
This study develops a tempered fractional Maxwell model to simulate unsteady thermal flow in viscoelastic fluids, capturing key rheological behaviors. A fast SOE‐based algorithm is proposed to improve the computational efficiency of the numerical scheme. Results reveal how key parameters influence fluid motion and heat transfer, demonstrating the model'

Improved Radiofrequency Safety Modelling in MRI Using In Vivo Measurements of Brain Conductivity

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 8, August 2026.
A workflow for the comparison of simulated and measured B1+$$ {B}_1^{+} $$ maps was developed and applied to a study on human tissue (brain) electrical conductivity, investigating differences between conductivity values from ex vivo and in vivo measurements.

The error estimation in terms of the first derivative in a numerical method for the solution of a delay integral equation from biomathematics

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2005
The positive, bounded and smooth solution of a delay integral equation, which arise in epidemics spread, can be found in an approximative manner using numerical methods achieved by the sequence of successive approximations and quadrature rules classified

Detecting When One Probe Vector is Enough for Preconditioned Log‐Determinant Approximation

open access: yesNumerical Linear Algebra with Applications, Volume 33, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We present randomized algorithms for estimating the log‐determinant of regularized symmetric positive semi‐definite matrices. The algorithms access the matrix only through matrix vector products, and are based on the introduction of a preconditioner and stochastic trace estimator.

A Hybrid‐High Order Method for Fracture Modelling

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 127, Issue 13, 15 July 2026.
ABSTRACT In this work we introduce a new Hybrid High‐Order method for the numerical simulation of fracture propagation based on phase‐field models. The proposed method: supports general meshes made of polygonal/polyhedral elements, which provides great flexibility in mesh design and adaptation; can accommodate large variations of both the displacement ...

Ostrowski Type Inequality Using Five Step Weighted Kernel

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2019
The purpose of this paper is to establish weighted version of Ostrowski type integral inequalities. The inequalities are obtained by using a newly developed special type of five steps weighted kernel.

Benchmarking Hybrid CNN‐Transformer Versus Pure Transformer Architectures for Accelerated Hyperpolarized 129Xe MRI Reconstruction

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Volume 64, Issue 1, Page 266-280, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Hyperpolarized 129Xe MRI faces technical challenges including low signal‐to‐noise ratio and breath‐hold constraints. Current literature focuses on proprietary deep learning methods or image‐domain enhancements. Purpose To present a comprehensive evaluation of transformer and hybrid CNN‐transformer architectures integrating dual ...

Development and evaluation of an in vivo dose‐based monitoring system for electron FLASH radiation therapy

open access: yesMedical Physics, Volume 53, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Background FLASH radiotherapy requires further preclinical and clinical investigation to establish its biological effectiveness and define optimal beam parameters. In conventional (CONV) radiotherapy, redundant beam termination systems are a cornerstone ensuring patient safety, yet analogous safeguards for FLASH delivery are not well ...
