Scalable Manufacturing of Amino Acid‐Based Piezoelectric Biocrystal Films
This work presents a continuous manufacturing strategy for glycine‐PVA piezoelectric films through dynamically controlled crystallization. This stable and industrially viable strategy offers significant potential for mass production of piezoelectric biocrystal films and biocompatible devices.

Cellulose paper is transformed into a high‐performance plasmonic sensor through a process called SILVERED, which involves single‐step vapor deposition onto fluorosilanized fibers. Surface‐energy contrast drives uniform silver nanoparticle growth with sub‐10 nm hot‐spot gaps, achieving 2 pM detection of rhodamine B.

AI‐enabled bumpless transfer control strategy for legged robot with hybrid energy storage system
Abstract Designing Hybrid energy storage system (HESS) for a legged robot is significant to improve the motion performance and energy efficiency of the robot. However, switching between the driving mode and regenerative braking mode in the HESS may generate a torque bump, which has brought significant challenges to the stability of the robot locomotion.

Preemptive Entry and Technology Diffusion: The Market for Drive‐In Theaters
ABSTRACT This article studies entry preemption in new industries. We first test a key prediction of dynamic entry games: Entry preemption is most relevant in intermediate‐sized markets, where firms face highest uncertainty about future entry. Using US drive‐in theater market (1945–1957) data, we find robust evidence for this non‐monotonic relationship ...

neonSoilFlux: An R package for continuous sensor‐based estimation of soil CO2 fluxes
Abstract Accurate quantification of soil carbon fluxes is essential to reduce uncertainty in estimates of the terrestrial carbon sink. However, these fluxes vary over time and across ecosystem types and so, it can be difficult to estimate them accurately across large scales.

Low-Complexity Triangular In-phase and Quadrature Signal Generator based Phase-Locked Loop
The second-order generalized integrator (SOGI)-based phase-locked loop (PLL) is commonly employed in grid-following converters for phase and frequency synchronization. However, the computational burden associated with SOGI-based in-phase and quadrature signal generation (IQG) and feedback sine generation limits its suitability for implementation on ...

From tetrachoric to kappa: How to assess reliability on binary scales
Abstract Reliability is crucial in psychometrics, reflecting the extent to which a measurement instrument can discriminate between individuals or items. While classical test theory and intraclass correlation coefficients are well‐established for quantitative scales, estimating reliability for binary outcomes presents unique challenges due to their ...

Asymptotic standard errors for reliability coefficients in item response theory
Abstract In a recent review, Liu et al. (Psychological Methods, 2025b) classified reliability coefficients into two types: classical test theory (CTT) reliability and proportional reduction in mean squared error (PRMSE). This article focuses on quantifying the sampling variability of these coefficients under item response theory (IRT) models.
