Quadrature Joint Transmitter-receiver Spatial Modulation

2019 11th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP), 2019
In this paper, we propose a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication technique called quadrature joint transmitter-receiver spatial modulation (QJSM) scheme, which extends the conventional joint transmitter-receiver spatial modulation (JSM) by including an additional degree of freedom to deliver the information. Specifically, in the proposed

Secure transmission via random quadrature spatial modulation

Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, 2020
AbstractIn this article, we propose a random quadrature spatial modulation (RQSM) scheme to achieve secure transmission in multiple‐input multiple‐output multiantenna eavesdropper channels. We consider the case in which the eavesdropper has more antennas than that of the legitimate receiver, leading to a strong wiretap channel.

Hexagonal Quadrature Amplitude Modulation Aided Spatial Modulation

2019 11th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ELECO), 2019
In this study, a new multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission scheme with energy-efficiency is proposed by combining spatial modulation (SM) and energy-efficient hexagonal quadrature amplitude modulation (HQAM) constellation scheme, briefly called HQAM-SM.

Low-Complexity Sphere Decoding for Quadrature Spatial Modulation

2018 IEEE 87th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Spring), 2018
In this paper, a novel low-complexity sphere decoding (SD) algorithm (QSM-Tx) designed for quadrature spatial modulation (QSM) is proposed. The reduction of the computational complexity for QSM-Tx is achieved by only searching the specific points lying inside the given sphere rather than all possible points for maximum likelihood (ML) detection.

Quadrature spatial modulation for large scale MIMO systems

2017 25th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2017
In this paper, a new multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission system, which is called space-time quadrature spatial modulation (ST-QSM), and combines quadrature spatial modulation (QSM) with space time block codes (STBCs) in order to achieve second order transmit diversity gain, is proposed.

Transmit Antenna Selection Schemes for Quadrature Spatial Modulation

Wireless Personal Communications, 2017
The objective of this paper is to investigate the application of transmit antenna selection (TAS) to quadrature spatial modulation (QSM). The application of optimal Euclidean distance based antenna selection (EDAS) to QSM (EDAS-QSM) is first proposed.

Quadrature spatial modulation with non-uniform lattice constellation

2017 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC), 2017
The transmission structure of quadrature spatial modulation (QSM) restricts the signal constellation to be lattice style. Meanwhile, both the minimum amplitude and minimum Euclidean distance (MED) in quadrature and in-phase domain should be taken into account for the constellation design of QSM.

LOS millimeter-wave communication with quadrature spatial modulation

2016 IEEE International Symposium on Signal Processing and Information Technology (ISSPIT), 2016
Capacity analysis for line-of-sight (LOS) millimeter-wave (mmWave) quadrature spatial modulation (QSM) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system is presented in this paper. QSM is a new MIMO technique proposed to enhance the performance of conventional spatial modulation (SM) while retaining almost all its inherent advantages.

Anti-Eavesdropping Scheme Based on Quadrature Spatial Modulation

IEEE Communications Letters, 2017
To resist the passive eavesdropping while reserving the same hardware cost and receiver structure of the legitimate receiver, a secure quadrature spatial modulation (QSM) scheme is proposed in this letter. Instead of the information symbol, a mixture of the information symbol and artificial noise is transmitted through the activated transmit antennas ...

Low Complexity Detection for Quadrature Spatial Modulation Systems

Wireless Personal Communications, 2017
Quadrature spatial modulation (QSM), where the real and imaginary parts of the transmitted symbol are transmitted separately, was recently proposed to increase the spectral efficiency of spatial modulation. An optimum maximum likelihood (ML) detection was introduced in QSM systems, which leads to high complexity as the exhausting search of all possible
