Ultrahigh‐Order Harmonic Mode‐Locked Optoelectronic Oscillator
This article demonstrates a record‐breaking microwave frequency comb generator using an ultrahigh‐harmonic‐order mode‐locked optoelectronic oscillator. By integrating dual recirculating loops into a low‐coherence system, the researchers achieved a harmonic order of 956 with superior noise suppression.

Spatial quadrature modulation for visible light communication in indoor environment [PDF]
In this paper, a novel low-complexity and spectrally\ud efficient modulation scheme for visible light communication\ud (VLC) is proposed. Our new spatial quadrature modulation\ud (SQM) is designed to efficiently adapt traditional complex modulation\ud schemes to VLC; i.e.

Comb‐Driven Coherent Optical Transmitter for Scalable DWDM Interconnects
A comb‐driven coherent optical transmitter on a Si/SiN platform enables scalable DWDM interconnects by integrating ultra‐compact microring‐assisted modulators and interleavers. High‐baud coherent signaling achieves 400 Gb/s per wavelength and >$>$1 Tb/s multi‐channel transmission, with projected >$>$10 Tb/s per fiber, offering a path toward energy ...

Soft-Output Maximum-Likelihood Detector for Quadrature Spatial Modulation
Spatial modulation (SM) presents a pragmatic approach for transmitting information, where the modulator uses well known amplitude/phase modulation (APM) techniques such as phase shift keying (PSK) and quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), but also ...

A digitally multiplexed, large‐aperture photoacoustic and ultrasound imaging architecture is presented to overcome the fundamental limited‐view artifact inherent in conventional arrays. By significantly broadening the structural detection coverage, this scalable platform enables high‐fidelity 3D visualization of human extremities within a single ...

ABSTRACT Purpose To improve the accuracy of diffusion‐weighted powder average signals for diffusion encoding with arbitrary b‐tensors. Methods We identify an intrinsic dihedral (D2$$ {D}_2 $$) symmetry of diffusion signals for arbitrary diffusion encoding, which defines their natural signal space (a quotient of 3D rotations).

Hierarchical Multi-Functional Layered Spatial Modulation
In pursuit of optimal index modulation -aided multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, where information is implicitly conveyed by relying on the on/off mechanism of the system's components in addition to the classical amplitude, phase, or ...

ABSTRACT Purpose Pulmonary hypertension is related to a 1‐year mortality ranging from < 5% to > 20% in low‐ and high‐risk groups. Right heart catheterization is the diagnostic gold standard, associated with a 1.1% rate of severe adverse events, posing the need for a non‐invasive diagnostic tool.

The relationship between equatorial wave interaction and heavy rainfall in Southeast Asia
This study examines the statistical relationship between co‐occurring equatorial waves and heavy rainfall in Southeast Asia. Heavy rainfall is more closely related to combined wave activity than to individual waves in many regions of Southeast Asia. The figure shows GPM–IMERG rainfall (shading) and ERA5 850‐hPa winds (vectors) composited on days when ...
