The effective conductivity of arrays of squares: large random unit cells and extreme contrast ratios [PDF]
An integral equation based scheme is presented for the fast and accurate computation of effective conductivities of two-component checkerboard-like composites with complicated unit cells at very high contrast ratios.

An improvement voltage mode first order all-pass filter configuration is proposed. The presented circuit uses a single fully differential current feedback operational amplifier (FDCFOA), resistors and a grounded capacitor. High input impedance of the proposed filter enables the circuit to be cascaded without additional buffers.

Barut-Girardello coherent states for u(p,q) and sp(N,R) and their macroscopic superpositions [PDF]
The Barut-Girardello coherent states (BG CS) representation is extended to the noncompact algebras u(p,q) and sp(N,R) in (reducible) quadratic boson realizations. The sp(N,R) BG CS take the form of multimode ordinary Schr\"odinger cat states. Macroscopic

OPERATOR METHOD IN THE SCALAR WAVE DIFFRACTION BY AXIALLY-SYMMETRIC DISCONTINUITIES IN THE SCREEN
Purpose: The scalar wave diffraction by the annular slot in an infinitely thin screen is considered in case of Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions. Diffraction problem by a flat ring is also considered as a dual one.

Let \(T,U\) be two linear operators mapped onto the function such that \(U(T(f))=f\), but \(T(U(f))\neq f\). In this paper, interpolating the function of type \(T(U(f))\) is presented in a general case. Let \(X\) be a linear vector space of dimension \(n\), its elements should be functions of a variable \(x\).

On surfaces with prescribed shape operator
The problem of immersing a simply connected surface with a prescribed shape operator is discussed. From classical and more recent work, it is known that, aside from some special degenerate cases, such as when the shape operator can be realized by a ...

On the convergence of local expansions of layer potentials [PDF]
In a recently developed quadrature method (quadrature by expansion or QBX), it was demonstrated that weakly singular or singular layer potentials can be evaluated rapidly and accurately on surface by making use of local expansions about carefully chosen ...

Multivariate error function based neural network approximations
Here we present multivariate quantitative approximations of real and complex valued continuous multivariate functions on a box or \(\mathbb{R}^{N},\) \(N\in \mathbb{N}\), by the multivariate quasi-interpolation, Baskakov type and quadrature type neural ...

Nonclassical correlations of photon number and field components in the vacuum state [PDF]
It is shown that the quantum jumps in the photon number n from zero to one or more photons induced by backaction evasion quantum nondemolition measurements of a quadrature component x of the vacuum light field state are strongly correlated with the ...

Nonclassical Moments and their Measurement
Practically applicable criteria for the nonclassicality of quantum states are formulated in terms of different types of moments. For this purpose the moments of the creation and annihilation operators, of two quadratures, and of a quadrature and the ...
