Rupture of the quadriceps tendon
Acta Orthopaedica Scandinavica, 1985Twelve patients operated for fresh rupture of the quadriceps tendon were re-examined after 5 (2-11) years. The tendon was sutured end-to-end or to the patella. The result was good in seven cases, fair in four and poor in one case of re-rupture, left unrepaired.

Myopathy of the quadriceps muscles
Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 1968Abstract A description is given of 2 brothers, aged 34 and 38 years respectively, who were both suffering from a very slowly progressive paresis and atrophy of the quadriceps muscles, with EMG changes indicative of a myopathy. Although the other muscles showed no signs of paresis, electromyographic examination did disclose myopathic changes elsewhere.

Primary Actinomycosis of the Quadriceps
Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, 1987Primary actinomycosis of the musculoskeletal system is an unusual occurrence. We report the case of a 14-year-old boy with isolated actinomycosis of the quadriceps. Surgical drainage followed by 6 weeks of treatment with oral tetracycline yielded a good result.
