Multimodal biological brain age prediction using magnetic resonance imaging and angiography with the identification of predictive regions

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 43, Issue 8, Page 2554-2566, June 1, 2022., 2022
In this work, we aimed to predict the biological brain age using structural magnetic resonance imaging and angiography datasets from a large database of adults. Combining brain tissue and artery information resulted in improved prediction, allowing to identify more complex aging patterns.

Prenatal diagnosis of Aicardi syndrome based on a suggestive imaging pattern: A multicenter case‐series

open access: yesPrenatal Diagnosis, Volume 42, Issue 4, Page 484-494, April 2022., 2022
Abstract Objectives To characterize a suggestive prenatal imaging pattern of Aicardi syndrome using ultrasound and MR imaging. Methods Based on a retrospective international series of Aicardi syndrome cases from tertiary centers encountered over a 20‐year period (2000–2020), we investigated the frequencies of the imaging features in order to ...

Intracranial arachnoid cysts: special issue

open access: yesArchives of Pediatric Neurosurgery, 2022
Intracranial arachnoid cysts (AC) are arachnoid-lined expansion of the normal subarachnoid space. They are very common and neurosurgeons, specially those taking care of the pediatric population, face this disease in their daily activities quite ...

Endoscopic aqueductal membrane fenestration was effective for intractable hydrocephalus after removal of a nongerminomatous germ cell tumor exhibiting growing teratoma syndrome: a case report

open access: yesBMC Pediatrics, 2022
Background Primary central nervous system (CNS) germ cell tumors (GCTs) are rare neoplasms predominantly observed in the pediatric and young adult populations. A mixed GCT including immature teratoma exhibiting growing teratoma syndrome is presented. The

Trigeminal neuralgia secondary to compression of giant quadrigeminal cistern arachnoid cyst in an adult: Case report and review of the literature

open access: yesAğrı
A quadrigeminal cistern arachnoid cyst is an extremely rare cause of trigeminal neuralgia in adulthood. This report presents the fourth case in the literature of trigeminal neuralgia caused by a giant quadrigeminal cistern arachnoid cyst.
