A curvature theory for discrete surfaces based on mesh parallelity
We consider a general theory of curvatures of discrete surfaces equipped with edgewise parallel Gauss images, and where mean and Gaussian curvatures of faces are derived from the faces' areas and mixed areas.

Divergence Preserving Interpolation on Anisotropic Quadrilateral Meshes
Abstract For the solution of incompressible fluid models with inf-sup stable finite element pairs for velocity and pressure, interpolation operators are desirable which preserve the property of discrete zero divergence and enjoy the same local approximation properties as standard interpolation operators.

Multiscale perspectives on how excess charges in soft lead halide perovskites induce operational instability in photovoltaic devices are presented. Localized carriers formed under thermodynamic non‐equilibrium states modify atomistic interactions and drive lattice distortions, accelerating device degradation.

A Sparse and High-Order Accurate Line-Based Discontinuous Galerkin Method for Unstructured Meshes
We present a new line-based discontinuous Galerkin (DG) discretization scheme for first- and second-order systems of partial differential equations.

We discovered novel materials with giant dielectric constants by combining first‐principles phonon calculations and machine learning. Screening 525 perovskites identified six candidates. RbNbO3 was synthesized under pressure and showed ε ≈ 800–1000. This validates our framework as a powerful tool for high‐performance dielectric materials discovery.

3DMeshNet: A three-dimensional differential neural network for structured mesh generation
Mesh generation is a crucial step in numerical simulations, significantly impacting simulation accuracy and efficiency. However, generating meshes remains time-consuming and requires expensive computational resources.

Metric Based Quadrilateral Mesh Generation
This work proposes a novel metric based algorithm for quadrilateral mesh generating. Each quad-mesh induces a Riemannian metric satisfying special conditions: the metric is a flat metric with cone signualrites conformal to the original metric, the total curvature satisfies the Gauss-Bonnet condition, the holonomy group is a subgroup of the rotation ...

Optimal Order Convergence Implies Numerical Smoothness
It is natural to expect the following loosely stated approximation principle to hold: a numerical approximation solution should be in some sense as smooth as its target exact solution in order to have optimal convergence.

ABSTRACT Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have emerged as one of the most critical drivers of climate change; this is primarily due to high concentrations and long atmospheric life of carbon dioxide (CO2). For a significant amount of time, various biological processes such as microalgal cultivation, cyanobacterial systems, photosynthetic microorganisms ...

The impact of alloy fluctuations on the spin dynamics of mixed‐cation MAxFA1‐xPbI3 perovskite single crystals is studied experimentally by means of polarized time‐resolved photoluminescence. The high optical orientation degree, reaching 80% for x = 0.1 and 0.8, displays a minimum of 60% for x = 0.4.
