ON THE POST-LINEAR QUADRUPOLE-QUADRUPOLE METRIC

open access: yesRevista de Matemática: Teoría y Aplicaciones, 2017
The Hartle-Thorne metric defines a reliable spacetime for most astrophysical purposes, for instance simulations of slowly rotating stars. Solving the Einstein field equations, we added terms of second order in the quadrupole moment to its post-linear ...

Quasiperiodic quadrupole insulators

open access: yesSciPost Physics
Higher-order topological insulators are an intriguing new family of topological states that host lower-dimensional boundary states. Concurrently, quasiperiodic systems have garnered significant interest due to their complex localization and topological ...

Quadrupole topological photonic crystals [PDF]

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
Most higher order topological phases are realized by emulations of tight binding models. Extending these concepts to continuum theories requires the identification of invariants describing the bulk multipole order.

The onset of chaos with a quadrupole-quadrupole interaction [PDF]

open access: yesIl Nuovo Cimento A, 1995
The transition from order to chaos in atomic nuclei has been studied analytically and numerically using a quadrupole--quadrupole residual interaction. This interaction leads to chaotic behaviour, but the critical energy $E_C\simeq 12.6$ MeV, corresponding to the onset of chaos, is higher than that of the experimental one.

Systematics of the Quadrupole–Quadrupole Interaction and Convergence Properties [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Physics, 1999
Our main concern in this work is to show how higher shell admixtures affect the spectrum of a Q.Q interaction. We first review how, in the valence space, the familiar SU(3) result for the energy spectrum can be obtained using a coordinate space Q.Q interaction rather than the Elliott one which is symmetric in r and p.

Circular Geodesics in a New Generalization of q-Metric

open access: yesUniverse, 2022
This paper introduces an alternative generalization of the static solution with quadrupole moment, the q-metric, that describes a deformed compact object in the presence of the external fields characterized by multipole moments.

MODEL OF THE FLAT FAIRING ANTENNA DIELECTRIC LAYER WITH AERODYNAMIC HEATING

open access: yesInformatyka, Automatyka, Pomiary w Gospodarce i Ochronie Środowiska, 2023
To protect the antenna systems of modern aircraft, radio-transparent dielectric fairings are widely used. At low flight speeds, when designing and evaluating the characteristics of the fairing-antenna, it is assumed that the dielectric constant is a ...

Compact, Broadband, and Omnidirectional Antenna Array for Millimeter-Wave Communication Systems

open access: yesJournal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Applications, 2021
In this paper, a millimeter-wave printed quadrupole antenna is proposed. It consists of two symmetric printed dipoles that make the quadrupole radiating power omnidirectionally.

Two-dimensional three-body quadrupole–quadrupole interactions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, 2021
Abstract The interactions between dipoles are called dipole–dipole interactions. One type of dipole–dipole interaction is van der Waals interaction. Similar to van der Waals interactions, the interactions between quadrupoles are called quadrupole–quadrupole interactions. Atoms can be treated not only as dipoles but also as quadrupoles.
