Single‐ and Dual‐Atom Configurations in Atomically Dispersed Catalysts for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐atom and dual‐atom‐based atomically dispersed catalysts (ADCs) effectively address the shuttle effect and sluggish redox kinetics in Li–S batteries. With nearly 100% atomic utilization and tunable coordination environments, ADCs enhance LiPSs adsorption, lower conversion barriers, and accelerate sulfur redox reactions.

QUADRUPOLE COUPLING CONSTANT AND ELECTRONIC STRUCTURE OF COMPOUNDS ЭХ3

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Проблемы энергетики, 2018
For the series of molecules type ЭХ3 (Э = N, As, Sb; X = F, Cl, Br, J) obtained quantitative relations between the values of the quadrupole coupling constants e2Qq and parameters J and μэ3-, characterizing the relative magnitude of the spatial ...

Abnormal field-dependence of magnetocaloric effect in ErB4 and TmB4

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
The coupled system of multi-degrees of freedom, such as charge, spin, orbital and lattice, has recently received much attention due to its potential to improve the magnetocaloric effect (MCE).

Interaction between two gravitationally polarizable objects induced by thermal bath of gravitons

open access: yes, 2017
The quadrupole-quadrupole interaction between a pair of gravitationally polarizable objects induced by vacuum fluctuations of the quantum linearized gravitational field is first obtained with a relatively simple method, which is then used to investigate ...

Furan‐Substituted Phosphine‐Oxide as an Efficient Interfacial Modifier for Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report phosphine‐oxide interlayers for wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells, in which tuned P = O Lewis basicity enables selective passivation of buried NiOx/perovskite interfaces and introduces interfacial dipoles that strengthen the built‐in field.

Energy distribution of an ion cloud in a quadrupole Penning Trap

open access: yesJournal of Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences, 2020
Ions are confined in Penning trap by the combination of electric field and magnetic field, as the electric field confines ions in the axial direction through an electric potential minimum and the magnetic field applied along the axis of the trap confines

A new type of nuclear collective motion - the spin scissors mode

open access: yes, 2013
The coupled dynamics of low lying modes and various giant resonances are studied with the help of the Wigner Function Moments method on the basis of Time Dependent Hartree-Fock equations in the harmonic oscillator model including spin-orbit potential ...

Counterintuitive Fluorescence Blue Shift in Symmetry Breaking Dicationic Bis(indolium) with Two‐Photon Absorption Properties for NIR Living Cell Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Highly water‐soluble dicationic bis(indolium) dyes have been prepared, showing excellent two‐photon absorption and light emission. Their fluorescence behavior discloses an unusual increasing blue shift with increasing solvent polarity, which, in parallel, is beneficial for enhanced detection in biological media.

Molecular electrostatic potentials from machine learning models for dipole and quadrupole predictions

open access: yesAI for Science
The molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) is a key quantity for describing and predicting intermolecular and ion–molecule interactions. Here, we assess the ability of machine-learning (ML) models to infer the MEP, based on the equivariant graph ...

Diagnosis of by carbon-13 urea breath test using a portable mass spectrometer

open access: yesSAGE Open Medicine, 2015
Context: In the non-invasive detection of markers of disease, mass spectrometry is able to detect small quantities of volatile markers in exhaled air. However, the problem of size, expense and immobility of conventional mass spectrometry equipment has ...
