QUALITATIVE GUSTATORY CHARACTERISTICS OF DISODIUM‐5′‐GUANYLATE
British Journal of Psychology, 1971Descriptions of the taste qualities of a nucleotide, disodium‐5′‐guanylate, are reported under two different response sets, lenient and stringent. Control comparison stimuli were de‐ionized water and weak sodium chloride, and near threshold taste concentrations were used. Twenty subjects, 10 under each response set, participated.

Quantitative Characteristics of Qualitative Localized Bonding Patterns
The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2009Patterns of localized and delocalized chemical bonding obtained using the recently proposed adaptive natural density partitioning (AdNDP) provide a qualitative description of electronic structure but miss any quantitative information. Descriptors, such as the electron localization function (ELF), provide quantitative characteristics of bonding and can ...

The life review experience: Qualitative and quantitative characteristics
Consciousness and Cognition, 2017The life-review experience (LRE) is a most intriguing mental phenomenon that fascinated humans from time immemorial. In LRE one sees vividly a succession of one's own life-events. While reports of LRE are abundant in the medical, psychological and popular literature, not much is known about LRE's cognitive and psychological basis.

Branching Markov chains: Qualitative characteristics
1997The paper considers Galton-Watson branching processes on a countable type space with the special feature that the types within a family are selected independently given the parent's type. There is a (non-periodic, irreducible) Markov matrix on the type space that prescribes how to choose the type of a child given the type of her parent.

POMOLOGICAL AND QUALITATIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF APRICOT FRUITS
Acta Horticulturae, 2010In this study, nineteen ecotypes of apricot fruits were investigated in the Province of Bari, Apulia - Southern Italy. Several pomological and qualitative characteristics of fruit, stone and pulp were evaluated. Significant differences were obtained. The variability of analyzed ecotypes can be utilized in a selection programme to improve the apricot ...

Qualitative Characteristics of Dynamical Systems
1988We compare some basic families of orbits in a number of galactic models and in the restricted three body problem. In plane rotating barred galaxies the orbits around the Lagrangian points L4, L5, L1, L2 are qualitatively similar to the orbits around L4, L5, L3 of the restricted three body problem.

Qualitative Characteristics of Educationally High-Risk Children
Learning Disability Quarterly, 1978Research conducted on educationally high-risk and nonrisk children revealed not only quantitative differences between the two populations, but also a range of qualitative differences which characterized the high-risk group. This study describes the factors which qualitatively differentiate the risk- and nonrisk groups.

Quantitative and qualitative characteristics of jojoba seed
Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1976AbstractData are presented on the composition of jojoba seed harvested from randomly selected individual plants (175 in 1973, 139 in 1974) of the native population at Aguanga, CA. Except for seed yield per plant, which was 2.7 times higher in 1974, wax, protein, and hull content of the seed, as well as fatty acid and alcohol composition of the wax ...
