Assessing the Quality of the Quality Assessment

The American Journal of Bioethics, 2016
In this commentary, I use criteria contained in the Ethics Consultation Quality Assessment Tool (ECQAT) to evaluate the arguments for using the tool itself, as presented by Pearlman and colleagues ...

Quality assessment

Circuit World, 1979
It is an accepted fact that copper-tin intermetallic formation is necessary to produce a solder wetted copper surface. It is also a fact that this same beneficial intermetallic formation could result in subsequent problems, such as brittle solder joints, tin depletion of solder and intermetallic cracking, if its formation is uncontrolled and excessive.

Company Quality Assessments

The TQM Magazine, 1991
First of a two‐part series. Examines current schemes for self‐assessment and their limitations. Proposes a new method of measuring organisational excellence and continous improvement. Suggests what is needed is an “assessment model” of the company′s quality goals and results, created and analysed through surveys and measurement.

Quality Assessment of Quality Improvement Programs

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1992
To the Editor. —The article on peer review organization methods by Rubin et al 1 was interesting and its results conform to my empiric observation and bias. It is also my bias that the detection of quality problems on the part of physicians is probably not of value.

Quality Assessment

Circuit World, 1978
Unless surfaces which have to be soldered are prepared properly, incomplete and inadequate soldering will result along with the associated product rejects. Careful and consistent monitoring of PWB and component lead surfaces for adequate solderability is a prerequisite if consistency is to be expected in the soldering phase of board assembly.

Quality Assessment

Circuit World, 1981
Due to the unique configuration of DIP package leads having a flat shouldered structure, extra care must be exercised in hole size design and insertion. Too large a hole diameter which results in the shoulder contacting the edge of the PTH, combined with too high an insertion force, could result in fracture of the copper plated layer at this point ...
