Identification, Synthesis, and Characterization of N-Formyl Mirabegron: A New Degradation Product Formed by Formic Acid Impurity in Pharmaceutical Excipients

open access: yesAdvances in Pharmacological and Pharmaceutical Sciences
This study demonstrated the impact of formic acid (FAc), a common reactive impurity in pharmaceutical excipients, on the stability of mirabegron (MB).

Clinical applications of next‐generation sequencing‐based ctDNA analyses in breast cancer: defining treatment targets and dynamic changes during disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

Hyperspectral guidance for summer tea processing: Enhancing taste and aroma through short‐term cycled heaping

open access: yesFood Frontiers
To reduce the unpleasant flavor in tea infusion made from summer fresh leaves and lessen tea resource wastage, a short‐term cycled heaping method, addressing the temperature/moisture variations during prolonged heaping, was introduced to produce high ...

Circulating tumor cells in metastatic breast cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors – a biomarker analysis of the ALICE and ICON trials

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

Quality Control in Open-Ended Crowdsourcing: A Survey [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Crowdsourcing provides a flexible approach for leveraging human intelligence to solve large-scale problems, gaining widespread acceptance in domains like intelligent information processing, social decision-making, and crowd ideation. However, the uncertainty of participants significantly compromises the answer quality, sparking substantial research ...

Circulating tumor cells: advancing personalized therapy in small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is an aggressive form of lung cancer that spreads rapidly to secondary sites such as the brain and liver. Cancer cells circulating in the blood, “circulating tumor cells” (CTCs), have demonstrated prognostic value in SCLC, and evaluating biomarkers on CTCs could guide treatment decisions such as for PARP inhibitors ...
