A voltage quality index (VQI) is proposed for evaluation of the voltage quality aspects (QAs) of three-phase voltage signals: instantaneous frequency-deviations, total harmonic distortion and instantaneous symmetrical components. A VQI in the range between 0 to 1 is defined and measured.

In an attempt to meet the public's needs for information on air quality a variety of indexes have been developed and they continue to evolve. To show the complexity and the diversity of such indices, a variety of current air quality indices are described here and compared in regard to their performance and ability to deliver quality information.

Seafood and seafood products represent some of the most important foods in almost all types of societies around the world. More intensive production of fish and shellfish to meet high demand has raised some concerns related to the nutritional and sensory qualities of these cultured fish in comparison to their wild-catch counterparts.

Vehicle emissions are responsible for a considerable share of urban air pollution concentrations. The traffic air quality index (TAQI) is proposed as a useful tool for evaluating air quality near roadways. The TAQI associates air quality with the equivalent emission from traffic sources and with street structure (roadway structure) as anthropogenic ...

The Quality Marriage Index (QMI) was developed as a result of work on another scale, the Partner Communication Scale (PCS). The PCS was mailed to 507 couples across four states and consisted of 261 items; only 20 items were analyzed for the QMI. The QMI is a global evaluative assessment of marital happiness and therefore avoids many of the problems ...

Cocoa Quality Index – A proposal
Food Control, 2014The definition of food quality has varied over time but has evolved so that current definitions are based on meeting customer demands. However, in order to better define food quality a more comprehensive evaluation based in key variables is required. This study aims to propose a Cocoa Quality Index (CQI).
