Tools for data warehouse quality [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings. Tenth International Conference on Scientific and Statistical Database Management (Cat. No.98TB100243), 2002
We show three interrelated tools intended to improve different aspects of the quality of data warehouse solutions. Firstly, the deductive object manager ConceptBase is intended to enrich the semantics of data warehouse solutions by including an explicit enterprise-centered concept of quality.

Model-Based, Experimental Thermoelastic Analysis of a Large Scale Turbine Housing

open access: yesJournal of Machine Engineering, 2022
Temporally and spatially unstable thermal conditions lead to inhomogeneous thermoelastic changes in the workpiece geometry. Consequently, non-negligible geometric deviations are evident, especially when measuring large workpieces with narrow tolerances,

Industrial applications of a modular software architecture for line-less assembly systems based on interoperable digital twins

open access: yesFrontiers in Mechanical Engineering, 2023
In manufacturing, rising demands for customized products have led to increased product variance and shortened product life cycles. In assembly lines, an increased variant diversity impedes the product flow.

Quality of Research Tools [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Drug discovery research is a complex undertaking conducted by teams of scientists representing the different areas involved. In addition to a strong familiarity with existing knowledge, key relevant concepts remain unknown as activities start. This is often an accepted risk, mitigated by gaining understanding in real time as the project develops ...
