Objective Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon because of the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

Assessing Quantile Prediction with Censored Quantile Regression Models [PDF]
Summary An important goal of censored quantile regression is to provide reliable predictions of survival quantiles, which are often reported in practice to offer robust and comprehensive biomedical summaries. However, formal methods for evaluating and comparing working quantile regression models in terms of their performance in ...

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Asymptotic fisher information in order statistics of geometric distribution [PDF]
In this paper, the geometric distribution is considered. The means, variances, and covariances of its order statistics are derived. The Fisher information in any set of order statistics in any distribution can be represented as a sum of Fisher ...
