Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Evaluating whether a change in organisational structure would improve its competitive advantage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The purpose of this research is to study and analyse the internal and external structure of Ultimate Clean ltd, where I do work. We have put concentration on background of the company in the starting.

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

On distance-based indices of regular dendrimers using automorphism group action

open access: yesMain Group Metal Chemistry, 2023
The various topological indices are helpful in predicting the bioactivity of molecular compounds in quantitative structure–activity relationship/quantitative structure–property relationship study. The Balaban index and Harary index are the distance-based

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Multi‐omics and low‐input proteomics profiling reveals dynamic regulation driving pluripotency initiation in early mouse embryos

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Low-viscosity oligoether esters (OEEs) as high-efficiency lubricating oils: Insight on their structure–lubricity relationship

open access: yesFriction, 2023
Development of energy-efficient lubricants is a way to reduce energy consumption for transportation, with the tendency to design molecules that are beneficial in reducing the viscosity of synthetic oils. Oligoether esters (OEEs), as a low-viscosity ester

Qualitative Theory and Chemical Explanation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Roald Hoffmann and other theorists claim that we we ought to use highly idealized chemical models (``qualitative models'') in order to increase our understanding of chemical phenomena, even though other models are available which make more highly ...

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

A Quantitative Structure-Property Relationship Model Based on Chaos-Enhanced Accelerated Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm and Back Propagation Artificial Neural Network

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
A quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) model is proposed to explore the relationship between the pKa of various compounds and their structures. Through QSPR studies, the relationship between the structure and properties can be obtained. In
