When Food Scanner Apps Outperform Front‐of‐Pack Nutrition Labels: A Conditional Process Model to Foster Healthier Food Choices in Times of Growing Distrust

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT While consumers increasingly use food scanner apps as an alternative to front‐of‐pack labels, the effectiveness of these nutritional signals in promoting healthier food choices remains a topic of debate. This study examines when and under what conditions food scanner apps encourage healthier eating and outperform front‐of‐pack nutrition labels.

Motor Cortex Disinhibition Correlates with Olfactory Dysfunction in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Motor cortex disinhibition, as measured by impaired short‐interval intracortical inhibition (SICI) using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), is a well‐established feature of Parkinson's disease (PD). However, its substantial variability among patients remains unexplained, prompting questions about its origin, clinical relevance,

Genetic Risk Factors in Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus: What We Know and What Is Next

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Knowledge of the genetic factors in normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) is rapidly evolving, with significant advances in recent years. We conducted a systematic review examining genetic contributions to NPH risk. Ovid Embase, Ovid Medline, Web of Science, and Cochrane Central were searched from inception through October 14, 2024, for human ...

Molecular Tools to Study and Control Dopaminergic Neurotransmission With Light

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Dopaminergic neurotransmission is involved in several important brain functions, such as motor control, learning, reward‐motivated behavior, and emotions. Dysfunctions of dopaminergic system may lead to the development of various neurological and psychiatric disorders, like Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, depression, and addictions ...
