In-band full-duplex (IBFD) systems are attracting attention as a key technology for ideally doubling channel capacity for beyond 5G and 6G. First, we propose an analytical model of the effect of N-bit analog-to-digital converter (A/D) quantization noise ...

The potential of four-level optical phase quantizers towards coherent processing of advanced modulation formats such as 16-QAM is proposed and numerically demonstrated. The work shows that phase quantization can demultiplex 16-QAM into two QPSK signals enabling sub-channel switching and optical regeneration of 16-QAM modulation formats.

Signal Quantization Effects on Acquisition Process of GPS Receiver: The Analysis and Simulation
Signal quantization levels can have significant impact on the performance of a GPS receiver, especially in the present of the interference. In this paper, signal quantization model for estimating interference suppression of the correlator output and evaluating the performance of GPS receiver is presented.

Phase quantized SAR signal processing: theory and experiments
A complete theory of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) processing from phase-only data is presented, for both analogue and coded raw signals and reference functions. Appropriate processing architectures are presented as well as quality indexes to judge performance of the selected coding. The analysis encompasses both images and interferometric fringes for

In this article, we use the interval mathematics and targeted rounding by specific functions to establish a framework for interval quantization. The function approximation FId, that maps x to an interval [x1, x2] such that x1 is the largest floating point number less than or equal to x and x2 is the smallest floating point number greater than or equal

In previous studies, performance models were developed for a system composed of quantizers followed by an OR-ing device and an accumulator. In this article, a method is presented to determine the breakpoints and the levels of the quantizer by maximizing the detector efficacy. Asymptotic and finite sample performances are presented and compared with the

Weak Signal Detection With Low-Bit Quantization in Colocated MIMO Radar
IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2023This paper addresses the weak signal detection problem in a massive colocated multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar. To cope with the sheer amount of data produced by the large-scale antennas, a low-bit quantizer is introduced in the sampling ...

Graph Signal Compression by Joint Quantization and Sampling
IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2022Graph signals arise in various applications, ranging from sensor networks to social media data. The high-dimensional nature of these signals implies that they often need to be compressed in order to be stored and transmitted.
