Neural‐Network Potential for Defect Formation Induced by Knock‐On Irradiation Damage in 4H‐SiC

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study constructed an efficient neural network potential (NNP) for simulating the irradiation damage in 4H‐SiC with accuracy at first‐principles level. Using this NNP, the directional dependence of the threshold displacement energies (TDE) is determined based on high‐throughput calculations, and the calculated minimal TDE agrees with experiments ...

Organic Photo‐Responsive Piezoelectric Materials Based on Pyrene Molecules for Flexible Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
An organic, pyrene‐based non‐centrosymmetric crystal, PyPT, is introduced, showcasing excellent piezoelectric behavior with a high‐output electrical signal, rapid response time, and a substantial piezoelectric coefficient. The piezoelectric sensors demonstrate the ability to recognize physical sound characteristics ‐ such as amplitude, frequency, and ...

Overcome Limited Efficiency in All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells Upon Light Management at Top Perovskite‐ Transparent Electrode Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
To further boost the PCE (power conversion efficiency) in all‐perovskite tandem solar cells (APTSCs), optimizing their optical structures is essential. In this study, it is found that the efficiency limitation in APTSCs is primarily due to reflective optical losses at the top perovskite interface.
