Quantum annealing of the Traveling Salesman Problem
We propose a path-integral Monte Carlo quantum annealing scheme for the symmetric Traveling Salesman Problem, based on a highly constrained Ising-like representation, and we compare its performance against standard thermal Simulated Annealing.

We develop a quantum algorithm to solve combinatorial optimization problems through quantum simulation of a classical annealing process. Our algorithm combines techniques from quantum walks, quantum phase estimation, and quantum Zeno effect. It can be viewed as a quantum analogue of the discrete-time Markov chain Monte Carlo implementation of classical

Quantum annealing using vacuum states as effective excited states of driven systems
For hard Quantum Annealing problems, starting from the ground state might result into high failure probability due to nonadiabatic transitions where the quantum system leaves the ground state.

Effect of annealing on the hyperfine interaction in InAs/GaAs quantum dots
The hyperfine interaction of an electron with nuclei in the annealed self-assembled InAs/GaAs quantum dots is theoretically analyzed. For this purpose, the annealing process, and energy structure of the quantum dots are numerically modeled.
