Abstract The ultimate goal of any sparse coding method is to accurately recover from a few noisy linear measurements, an unknown sparse vector. Unfortunately, this estimation problem is NP-hard in general, and it is therefore always approached with an approximation method, such as lasso or orthogonal matching pursuit, thus trading off accuracy ...

Distributed Quantum Dense Coding [PDF]
We introduce the notion of distributed quantum dense coding, i.e. the generalization of quantum dense coding to more than one sender and more than one receiver. We show that global operations (as compared to local operations) of the senders do not increase the information transfer capacity, in the case of a single receiver.

Quantum Serial Turbo Codes [PDF]
We present a theory of quantum serial turbo-codes, describe their iterative decoding algorithm, and study their performances numerically on a depolarization channel. Our construction offers several advantages over quantum LDPC codes. First, the Tanner graph used for decoding is free of 4-cycles that deteriorate the performances of iterative decoding ...

Sparse Quantum Codes from Quantum Circuits [PDF]
We describe a general method for turning quantum circuits into sparse quantum subsystem codes. The idea is to turn each circuit element into a set of low-weight gauge generators that enforce the input-output relations of that circuit element. Using this prescription, we can map an arbitrary stabilizer code into a new subsystem code with the same ...

Good Quantum Convolutional Error Correction Codes And Their Decoding Algorithm Exist [PDF]
Quantum convolutional code was introduced recently as an alternative way to protect vital quantum information. To complete the analysis of quantum convolutional code, I report a way to decode certain quantum convolutional codes based on the classical ...
