Resource reallocation across successive systemic innovations: How Rolls‐Royce shaped the evolution of the turbojet, turboprop, and turbofan

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Research Summary Despite the importance of resource reallocation in shaping a variety of strategic outcomes, strategy scholars have paid only limited attention to the processes by which firms reallocate their resources across successive systemic innovations.

Exploiting Spatial Diversity in Earth-to-Satellite Quantum-Classical Communications [PDF]

open access: yes
Despite being an integral part of the vision of quantum Internet, Earth-to-satellite (uplink) quantum communications have been considered more challenging than their satellite-to-Earth (downlink) counterparts due to the severe channel-loss fluctuations ...

Bio‐Compatible Flexible Memristive Devices Enabled by BNNT/MWCNT–ZnO Quantum Dot Hybrid Percolation Networks

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
BNNT rods incorporated into MWCNT–ZnO quantum dot networks regulate charge transport and suppress leakage in flexible, transparent resistive memory devices. The resulting hybrid architecture preserves nonvolatile switching under static bending and after low‐temperature exposure and subcutaneous implantation.

Remote Plasma‐Enabled Vertical Asymmetry Engineering of 2D PtSe2 via Phase‐Preserving Chalcogen Exchange

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Remote H2S plasma enables temperature‐controlled chalcogen exchange in PtSe2. At 50°C, selective top‐surface Se‐to‐S substitution yields Janus PtSSe while preserving the layered framework, whereas treatment at 200°C promotes further sulfur incorporation and diffusion to form PtS2.

Advances in research on layered double hydroxides for biomedical applications

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are pH‐responsive nanomaterials with broad biomedical applications. This review summarizes LDH synthesis methods and compares their advantages. It highlights LDHs' progress in cancer therapy, including chemo‐photothermal, chemo‐immunotherapy, and photodynamic‐immunotherapy combinations and their potential in bone repair.

Scalable Room‐Temperature Terahertz Graphene Cameras

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Terahertz (THz) imaging has emerged as a powerful tool for non‐destructive, label‐free analysis across several scientific disciplines, ranging from materials science to biomedical research. By capturing the spatial‐dependent information in a broad range of frequencies, this technique enables the identification of chemical composition ...

Five Decades of Dispute: A Triptych. E. J. Corey

open access: yesThe Chemical Record, EarlyView.
In his 2004 Priestley Medal address, E. J. Corey stated, “On May 4, 1964, I suggested to my colleague R. B. Woodward a simple explanation involving the symmetry of the perturbed (HOMO) molecular orbitals for the stereoselective cyclobutene/1,3‐butadiene and 1,3,5‐hexatriene/cyclohexadiene conversions that provided the basis for the further development ...
