Experimental detection of non-classical correlations in mixed state quantum computation
We report on an experiment to detect non-classical correlations in a highly mixed state. The correlations are characterized by the quantum discord and are observed using four qubits in a liquid state nuclear magnetic resonance quantum information ...

A Chromatic Nanoswitcher for Thermal Monitoring of Cell Metabolism
This study presents a novel class of luminescent nanothermometer, chromatic nanoswitcher (ChNS), designed for precise intracellular temperature monitoring. The phase transition‐related optical properties of ChNS enable a high thermal sensitivity in the physical temperature range with a thermal response independent by fluctuations of other physiological

We investigate a scenario where quantum correlations affect the gravitational field. We show that quantum correlations between particles occupying different positions have an effect on the gravitational field. We find that the small perturbations induced

Quantum speed limit time for correlated quantum channel [PDF]
Memory effects play a fundamental role in the dynamics of open quantum systems. There exist two different views on memory for quantum noises. In the first view, the quantum channel has memory when there exist correlations between successive uses of the channels on a sequence of quantum systems.

Guess your neighbour's input: a multipartite non-local game with no quantum advantage
We present a multipartite nonlocal game in which each player must guess the input received by his neighbour. We show that quantum correlations do not perform better than classical ones at this game, for any prior distribution of the inputs.

A materials and device design concept that comprises a self‐assembled ultra‐thin epitaxial ion‐transporting layer, an amorphous oxide overcoat oxygen‐blocking layer, and a partial filament formed during an electroforming step is proposed for low‐current multilevel resistive switching devices.

Dynamics of quantum correlations in two-qubit systems within non-Markovian environments
Knowledge of the dynamical behavior of correlations with no classical counterpart, like entanglement, nonlocal correlations and quantum discord, in open quantum systems is of primary interest because of the possibility to exploit these correlations for ...

Multi-time quantum correlations with no spatial analog
Multipartite quantum correlations are a powerful resource that underpins applications from quantum metrology to quantum computing. While most research has focused on spatial correlations, it is now becoming clear that a sequence of measurements on a ...

Wetting of Surface Grafted Hydrophilic‐b‐Hydrophobic Block Copolymer Brushes
The wetting properties of surface grafted diblock copolymer brushes are influenced by the thickness of the hydrophilic bottom block and the hydrophobic top block. The surface adapts in presence of water and the contact angles of the bottom block shine through. Abstract The wetting of diblock copolymer brushes by water is studied.

Topological pumping of quantum correlations
Topological pumping and duality transformations are paradigmatic concepts in condensed matter and statistical mechanics. In this paper, we extend the concept of topological pumping of particles to topological pumping of quantum correlations. We propose a
