Quantum out-of-equilibrium cosmology

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
In this work, our prime focus is to study the one to one correspondence between the conduction phenomena in electrical wires with impurity and the scattering events responsible for particle production during stochastic inflation and reheating implemented

Enchanting the Otherwise: Magical Realism and the Gendered Ontologies of Organizational Becoming

open access: yesGender, Work &Organization, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper enacts a feminist‐posthumanist reimagining of gender as ontological disturbance, using magical realism not as metaphor but as epistemological method. Rejecting representational logics and the managerial rationalities of organizational realism, we advance gender not as identity or role but as spectral interference—a transversal ...

Quantum cosmology and tachyons [PDF]

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, 2008
AbstractWe discuss the relevance of the classical and quantum rolling tachyons inflation in the frame of the standard, p‐adic and adelic minisuperspace quantum cosmology. The field theory of tachyon matter proposed by Sen in a zero‐dimensional version suggested by Kar leads to a model of a particle moving in a constant external field with quadratic ...

Theological Doctrines as Scientific Theories? Thinking along with and beyond McGrath

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic Theology, EarlyView.
Abstract McGrath's recent analysis of the parallels between scientific theory formation and the development of theological doctrine in The Nature of Christian Doctrine (OUP, 2024) is insightful and largely compelling, but also raises some questions and areas for further exploration. First, there is a remarkable back‐and‐forth between uses of ‘doctrine’

Quantum BPS cosmology

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity
Abstract There has been much discussion about the initial conditions of the early Universe in the context of quantum theory. In this paper, we construct the wave function and probability distribution by adopting the quantum version of the BPS equation instead of the usual Wheeler–DeWitt equation in a minisuperspace quantum cosmology with

Switching Internal Times and a New Perspective on the `Wave Function of the Universe’

open access: yesUniverse, 2019
Despite its importance in general relativity, a quantum notion of general covariance has not yet been established in quantum gravity and cosmology, where, given the a priori absence of coordinates, it is necessary to replace classical frames with ...

Magnetic properties of geraisites, the first tektite strewn field identified in Brazil

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, EarlyView.
Abstract Geraisites are a newly recognized class of tektite from Brazil. They occur as centimeter‐sized, elongated to subspherical bodies scattered across surface gravel and shallow subsurface layers within a ~90‐km‐long strewn field extending between the municipalities of São João do Paraíso and Curral de Dentro, near the border between the states of ...

Noncommutative quantum cosmology

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2009
One presents a phase-space noncommutative extension of Quantum Cosmology in the context of a Kantowski-Sachs (KS) minisuperspace model. We obtain the Wheeler-DeWitt (WDW) equation for the noncommutative system through the ADM formalism and a suitable Seiberg-Witten map.

NONCOMMUTATIVE QUANTUM MECHANICS AND QUANTUM COSMOLOGY [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2009
We present a phase-space noncommutative version of quantum mechanics and apply this extension to Quantum Cosmology. We motivate this type of noncommutative algebra through the gravitational quantum well (GQW) where the noncommutativity between momenta is shown to be relevant. We also discuss some qualitative features of the GQW such as the Berry phase.
