Equivalence of Models in Loop Quantum Cosmology and Group Field Theory

open access: yesUniverse, 2019
The paradigmatic models often used to highlight cosmological features of loop quantum gravity and group field theory are shown to be equivalent, in the sense that they are different realizations of the same model given by harmonic cosmology.

Gravitational Fluctuations as an Alternative to Inflation III. Numerical Results

open access: yesUniverse, 2020
Power spectra play an important role in the theory of inflation, and their ability to reproduce current observational data to high accuracy is often considered a triumph of inflation, largely because of a lack of credible alternatives.

Bogoliubov's Integrals of Motion in Quantum Cosmology and Gravity

open access: yes, 2006
Quantum Cosmology and Gravity are formulated here as the primary and secondary quantizations of the energy constraints by analogy with the historical formulation of quantum field theory.

Three Methods to Identify and Visualize Nonuniform Changes in Interatomic Interactions: Second‐Difference Analysis, Anharmonicity Inversion, and Distance‐Dependent NMR Absolute Shieldings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Quantum Chemistry, Volume 126, Issue 7, April 5, 2026.
Three complementary approaches have been developed to visualize how vibrational excitation alters the potential energy surface of a diatomic electronic state, aiding in the interpretation of these changes and in the elucidation of the underlying interatomic interactions.

Mimetic gravity: mimicking the dynamics of the primeval universe in the context of loop quantum cosmology

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
Mimetic gravity can be described as a formulation capable of mimicking different evolutionary scenarios regarding the universe dynamics. Notwithstanding its initial aim of producing a similar evolution to the one expected from the dark components of the ...

Quantum phantom cosmology

open access: yes, 2006
We apply the formalism of quantum cosmology to models containing a phantom field. Three models are discussed explicitly: a toy model, a model with an exponential phantom potential, and a model with phantom field accompanied by a negative cosmological ...

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Swampland: The Cosmologist's Handbook to the String‐Theoretical Swampland Programme

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract String theory has strong implications for cosmology, implying the absence of a cosmological constant, ruling out single‐field slow‐roll inflation, and that black holes decay. The origins of these statements are elucidated within the string‐theoretical swampland programme.

Quantum cosmology from quantum gravity condensates: cosmological variables and lattice-refined dynamics

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2014
In the context of group field theory condensate cosmology, we clarify the extraction of cosmological variables from the microscopic quantum gravity degrees of freedom.

Impact of Quantum Gravity on the UV Sensitivity of Extremal Black Holes

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Recent work has revealed that extremal Kerr black holes may exhibit a sensitivity to higher‐derivative corrections to Einstein's equations, displaying singularities in the tidal forces at the horizon. However, in a purely gravitational context, this “ultraviolet sensitivity” translates into a strong dependence on the Wilson coefficients in the

Cosmology as a CFT1

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We show that the simplest FLRW cosmological system consisting in the homo- geneous and isotropic massless Einstein-Scalar system enjoys a hidden conformal symmetry under the 1D conformal group SL(2, ℝ) acting as Mobius transformations in proper time ...
