Homodyne Estimation of Gaussian Quantum Discord [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2012
We address the experimental estimation of Gaussian quantum discord for two-mode squeezed thermal state, and demonstrate a measurement scheme based on a pair of homodyne detectors assisted by Bayesian analysis which provides nearly optimal estimation for small value of discord.

Circulant States with Vanishing Quantum Discord [PDF]

open access: yesOpen Systems & Information Dynamics, 2012
We analyze a class of 2-qudit circulant states. They define a generalization of well-known 2-qubit X-states. We formulate necessary and sufficient criteria for vanishing of quantum discord. We illustrate our analysis by an important subclass of circulant states — the so-called Bell diagonal states.

Exact dynamics of quantum correlations of two qubits coupled to bosonic baths

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2013
Dynamics of the quantum entanglement and quantum discord of two qubits in two independent baths and a common bath with the Lorentzian spectrum are studied exactly in the numerical sense within the hierarchy approach.

Beyond Presumptions: Toward Mechanistic Clarity in Metal‐Free Carbon Catalysts for Electrochemical H2O2 Production via Data Science

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐free carbon catalysts enable the sustainable synthesis of hydrogen peroxide via two‐electron oxygen reduction; however, active site complexity continues to hinder reliable interpretation. This review critiques correlation‐based approaches and highlights the importance of orthogonal experimental designs, standardized catalyst passports ...

Correlations in Two-Qubit Systems under Non-Dissipative Decoherence

open access: yesAxioms, 2020
We built a new set of suitable measures of correlations for bipartite quantum states based upon a recently introduced theoretical framework [Bussandri et al. in Quantum Inf. Proc. 18:57, 2019].

Flexoelectrically Induced Polar Topology in Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Twisted SrTiO3 bilayers host polar vortices of flexoelectric origin, revealed through combined experiment and theory. By reconstructing polarization from the toroidal moment of strain gradients, the work establishes a 3D chiral state with broken inversion and mirror symmetries.

Quantum correlations in optomechanical system in the presence of optical feedback

open access: yesPhysics Open, 2022
In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of quantum correlations for the continuous-variable bipartite optomechanical system in the presence of homodyne mediated quantum feedback.

Why Is the Mechanism Underlying the Chiral‐Induced Selectivity Effect Still Challenging?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The chiral‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect is observed in many experimental configurations and for different materials. However, there are theoretical challenges in attempting to explain those results. A qualitative framework for explaining all the results is presented.

Unbiased Structure Prediction of Sophisticated Cage Structures

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We introduce the software and workflow for automated, unbiased exploration of all possible connectivities of a given set of building blocks and their stoichiometry to predict stable cage structures. ABSTRACT Cage structure prediction has made significant strides by generating structures based on what the community has seen before.
