Quantum computation with quantum dots [PDF]
We propose a new implementation of a universal set of one- and two-qubit gates for quantum computation using the spin states of coupled single-electron quantum dots. Desired operations are effected by the gating of the tunneling barrier between neighboring dots.

Piezomagnetic Quantum Dots [PDF]
We study the influence of deformations on magnetic ordering in quantum dots doped with magnetic impurities. The reduction of symmetry and the associated deformation from circular to elliptical quantum confinement lead to the formation of piezomagnetic quantum dots.

Thermal tolerance of perovskite quantum dots dependent on A-site cation and surface ligand
A detailed picture of temperature dependent behavior of CsxFA1-xPbI3 perovskite quantum dots across the composition range is constructed by performing in situ optical spectroscopic and structural measurements, supported by theoretical calculations that ...

Large voltage-tunable spin valve based on a double quantum dot [PDF]
We study the spin-dependent transport properties of a spin valve based on a double quantum dot. Each quantum dot is assumed to be strongly coupled to its own ferromagnetic lead, while the coupling between the dots is relatively weak. The current flowing through the system is determined within the perturbation theory in the hopping between the dots ...

Spectroelectrochemistry of Quantum Dots [PDF]
AbstractSpectroelectrochemistry (SEC) is a set of techniques with many advantages in the study and characterization of materials. Although SEC has not yet been widely used to study quantum dots (QDs), the information extracted from SEC experiments about these nanostructures is very useful.

Recent Approaches in Quantum Dots Application for Biological System
Quantum dots are semiconductor nanoparticles with optical and electronic (optoelectronic) properties that vary with size and composition. They distinguish themselves from traditional fluorescence dyes due to their high visibility, long-lasting, size ...

We present a method for the measurement of a temperature differential across a single quantum dot that has transmission resonances that are separated in energy by much more than the thermal energy. We determine numerically that the method is accurate to within a few percent across a wide range of parameters. The proposed method measures the temperature
