Improving Intrinsic Decoherence in Multi-Quantum-Dot Charge Qubits [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. B 76, 235309 (2007), 2007
We discuss decoherence in charge qubits formed by multiple lateral quantum dots in the framework of the spin-boson model and the Born-Markov approximation. We consider the intrinsic decoherence caused by the coupling to bulk phonon modes. Two distinct quantum dot configurations are studied: (i) Three quantum dots in a ring geometry with one excess ...

Ultrafast Field-driven Valley Polarization of Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Quantum Dots [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
We study theoretically the electron dynamics of transition metal dichalcogenide quantum dots in the field of an ultrashort and ultrafast circularly polarized optical pulse. The quantum dots have the shape of a disk and their electron systems are described within an effective model with infinite mass boundary conditions.

Quantum of dots [PDF]

open access: yesCytometry Part A, 2010
QUANTUM dots or fluorescent semiconductor nanoparticles are very valuable tools in multiplexed cell labeling and cell tracking (1). With their unique features of extremely long stoke shift, their fluorescence signal can be more easily distinguished from autofluorescence. Additionally, they can be combined with organic fluorochromes adding new colors to
