Tunable Quantum Fluctuation-Controlled Coherent Spin Dynamics

open access: yes, 2008
Temporal evolution of a macroscopic condensate of ultra cold atoms is usually driven by mean field potentials, either due to scattering between atoms or due to coupling to external fields; and coherent quantum dynamics have been observed in various cold ...

Fibrous Pb(II)‐Based Coordination Polymer Operable as a Photocatalyst and Electrocatalyst for High‐Rate, Selective CO2‐to‐Formate Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A coordination polymer [Pb(tadt)]n prepared by a microwave‐assisted solvothermal method selectively reduces CO2 into formate under visible light with a high apparent quantum yield of ≈25% at 400 nm. It can function as a pre‐catalyst, along with conductive Ketjen Black, to form an active PbCO3/Pb3(CO3)2(OH)2 mixture that exhibits a high Faradaic ...

MCTDH on-the-fly: Efficient grid-based quantum dynamics without pre-computed potential energy surfaces.

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Physics, 2018
We present significant algorithmic improvements to a recently proposed direct quantum dynamics method, based upon combining well established grid-based quantum dynamics approaches and expansions of the potential energy operator in terms of a weighted sum

Quantum walks of interacting fermions on a cycle graph

open access: yes, 2016
Quantum walks have been employed widely to develop new tools for quantum information processing recently. A natural quantum walk dynamics of interacting particles can be used to implement efficiently the universal quantum computation.

Deciphering the Origin of Higher Shell Coordination on Single Iron Catalysts for Resilient Modulating Persulfate Oxidation Into Singlet Oxygen Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
This study reveals that higher shell S coordination can effectively modulate the spin state of FeN4 site via long‐range electronic interactions, giving rise to the oriented generation of singlet oxygen from peroxymonosulfate activation. Abstract Precise manipulation of coordination structure of single‐atom sites and establishment of schematic ...

Carrier-envelope-phase-dependent dissociation of hydrogen

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2013
We studied the dependence of dissociative ionization in H _2 on carrier-envelope phase (CEP) of few-cycle (6 fs) near-infrared laser pulses. For low-energy channels, we present the first experimental observation of the CEP dependence of combined ...

Activation of oxidoreductases by the formation of enzyme assembly

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Biological properties of protein molecules depend on their interaction with other molecules, and enzymes are no exception. Enzyme activities are controlled by their interaction with other molecules in living cells.

Achieving Large and Anisotropic Spin‐Mediated Thermal Transport in Textured Quantum Magnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
An advanced solvent‐cast cold pressing method is developed to synthesize highly textured quantum magnets. By aligning spin chains in Ca2CuO3 perpendicular to the pressing direction, a spin‐mediated thermal conductivity of 10 ± 1 W m⁻¹ K⁻¹ is achieved, the highest reported for polycrystalline quantum materials.

What is Dynamics in Quantum Gravity?

open access: yes, 2017
The appearance of Hamiltonian constraint in the canonical formalism for general relativity reflects the lack of a fixed external time. The dynamics of general relativistic systems can be expressed with respect to an arbitrarily chosen internal degree of ...

3D Printed Ultra‐Fast Plastic Scintillators Based on Perovskite‐Photocurable Polymer Composite

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
The demand for radiation detection is increasing in a number of fields, including high‐energy physics, medical imaging, and homeland security. This study serves to demonstrate the potential for the fabrication of fast perovskite‐based scintillators with complex shapes via stereolithographic additive manufacturing, representing a new path toward the ...
