2D quantum emitters for Integrated Quantum Photonics

We demonstrate first room temperature, and ultrabright single photon emission from a color center in two-dimensional multilayer hexagonal boron nitride. Density Functional Theory calculations indicate that vacancy-related centers are a likely source of the emission.

Quantum Information and Measurement (QIM) 2017, 2017Semiconductor quantum dots embedded in micropillar cavities are a promising system for use in quantum photonic technologies. We demonstrate cavity-enhanced coherent scattering, on-chip superresolving phase measurements and photon sorting.
