Joint encryption and error correction for secure quantum communication

open access: yesScientific Reports
Secure quantum networks are a bedrock requirement for developing a future quantum internet. However, quantum channels are susceptible to channel noise that introduce errors in the transmitted data.

Error Correcting Codes in Quantum Theory

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1996
Summary: A new type of uncertainty relation is presented, concerning the information-bearing properties of a discrete quantum system. A natural link is then revealed between basic quantum theory and the linear error correcting codes of classical information theory.

Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Hardware-efficient autonomous error correction with linear couplers in superconducting circuits

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Large-scale quantum computers will inevitably need quantum error correction (QEC) to protect information against decoherence. Given that the overhead of such error correction is often formidable, autonomous quantum error correction (AQEC) proposals offer

Quantum Error Correction for Kids

open access: yes2024 IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering (QCE)
No one should wait until college to get acquainted with core concepts of quantum information. Given the human bias of favouring the familiar over the unknown, early exposure to concepts of quantum information helps learners build stronger appetence for the field, as well as allowing them to develop an intuitive approach to it.
