Localization in quantum field theory
We review the issue of localization in quantum field theory and detail the nonrelativistic limit. Three distinct localization schemes are examined: the Newton-Wigner, the algebraic quantum field theory, and the modal scheme. Among these, the algebraic quantum field theory provides a fundamental concept of localization, rooted in its axiomatic ...

Excited State Modulation in Carbene‐Metal‐Amides to Design Fast and Bright Blue Delayed Fluorescence
Gold‐centered carbene‐metal amide (CMA) materials with carbonyl‐group substitution on the amide donor ligand. Molecular design ensures that the charge transfer (CT) state is lower in energy than the locally excited (3LE) states. The energy difference between CT and LE states controls the rate of the delayed fluorescence.

Z‐Scheme Water Splitting Systems Based on Solid‐State Electron Conductors
This review examines the latest advances in Z‐scheme overall water splitting (OWS) systems for solar hydrogen production. These systems consist of suspended or immobilized hydrogen evolution photocatalysts (HEPs) and oxygen evolution photocatalysts (OEPs).

Energy Inequalities in Quantum Field Theory
Quantum fields are known to violate all the pointwise energy conditions of classical general relativity. We review the subject of quantum energy inequalities: lower bounds satisfied by weighted averages of the stress-energy tensor, which may be regarded ...

ON ‘CATEGORIES’ OF QUANTUM FIELD THEORIES [PDF]
We give a rough description of the 'categories' formed by quantum field theories. A few recent mathematical conjectures derived from quantum field theories, some of which are now proven theorems, will be presented in this language.

Bimetallic Nanoparticles as Cocatalysts for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production
Recent developments have introduced bimetallic nanoparticles as effective cocatalysts for photocatalytic systems. This review explores the rapidly expanding research on bimetallic cocatalysts for photocatalytic production of hydrogen, emphasizing the creation of carrier‐selective contacts, localized surface plasmon resonance effects, methodologies for ...

Renormalization in open quantum field theory. Part I. Scalar field theory
While the notion of open quantum systems is itself old, most of the existing studies deal with quantum mechanical systems rather than quantum field theories.

Quantum field theory and time machines
We analyze the "F-locality condition" (proposed by Kay to be a mathematical implementation of a philosophical bias related to the equivalence principle, we call it the "GH-equivalence principle"), which is often used to build a generalization of quantum ...

The NNR‐n series of oligomeric nanographenes delivers exceptional emission performance. This work shows that this performance is originated by their ladder‐type structure, which effectively deactivates low‐frequency vibronic modes. This deactivation neglects the main pathway for non‐emissive deactivation, even in the near‐infrared region. The potential
