On the Approximation of Quantum Field Theories

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1965
We assume that the Wightman distributions are tempered and that they are boundary values of functions analytic in the forward tube. Under these conditions a sequence of such distributions may converge in Borchers' topology. The necessary and sufficient conditions for such convergence are spelled out in terms of the corresponding analytic functions. The

Quantum Field Theory and Cosmology

1982
Experimental evidence points with ever increasing confidence towards an evolutionary cosmology. The standard framework used to confront this circumstance is the “hot big bang” theory: an initial classical singularity, possibly smeared by unknown quantum effects, produces a thermal distribution of the quanta of the matter field at a temperature close to

Quantum Field Theory

2021
Quantum field theory (QFT), the language of particle physics, is crucial to a physicist's graduate education. Based on lecture notes for courses taught for many years at Radboud University in the Netherlands, this book presents an alternative approach to teaching QFT using Feynman diagrams.
